I received a call from them, apparently because I’ve been ringing my partner frequently. Sure, it’s a long-distance relationship, and our chats typically stretch on for an hour or two-sometimes even longer! However, I don’t reckon it's fair to threaten me with charges over that. I hardly ever bombard her with calls unless she misses my call, particularly when she’s going through a rough patch and desperately needs to talk again. It just seems a bit ridiculous to penalise me for reaching out during tough times.

I was in the middle of enjoying my programme on the telly when, lo and behold, the broadcast got cut off; there was a message urging me to ring a particular number, warning that my system would cease to function otherwise.

I highly doubt that Comcast would ever ring up a customer to offer three months of complimentary service as a result of recent storms. It sounds more like a scam from some Indian call centre preying on vulnerable and elderly folks. Interestingly, on another occasion, I was on the phone with them for nearly an hour!

I received a phone call claiming they were issuing a refund for three months of my Xfinity service. I played along with what they were instructing me to do (though, of course, I had no intention of following through) and they insisted I should download some software and enable cookies on my device. So, I received a rather peculiar phone call from someone purporting to be "Emmy" from Comcast. It was around 10:45 in the evening when my home line rang, and to my surprise, she later called my mobile, rousing me from my slumber. I found it quite odd to be receiving such calls at that hour!

I swung by WalMart and had a rather unpleasant experience with an Infinity representative who wasn't entirely truthful. When Comcast finally sent someone to set up the cable, I ended up sending them packing. They left a box of gear by my door, which I promptly took to UPS to send back. I then tried reaching out to Comcast, but it was a complete faff dealing with their customer service in India - utterly unhelpful! And let's not even get started on the number 1-800-266-2278; it seems dodgy to me! I wouldn't advise anyone to foot the bill for their shady dealings.

I tried reaching out to the number 1 800 266 2278 on the 25th of February, 2018, but it was odd-there was no ringing and then it just went completely silent after I answered. I've noticed this number appears on my credit card statement from Comcast for charges I did not approve, specifically for cable services. After doing a bit of digging online, I stumbled across a mention of someone who had a similar experience after dealing with PG&E. While my recollection is a bit murky from sifting through so much information, the crux of the matter is I, too, had interactions with PG&E around the time these unexpected charges started showing up on my bill in June 2016. I’m not attempting to draw any definitive conclusions, but the timing certainly seems noteworthy. I’ll keep investigating and will provide an update as I discover more.

It seems like there's a bit of a troublesome saga with Comcast taking a strange turn. It all kicked off after I contacted PG&E to set up services for another property. After sorting out the ins and outs, they connected me with a representative who dangled a tempting deal for Comcast, presumably tied to my PG&E account. However, the promised Comcast service never materialised. Ever since then, I've been inundated with a flurry of spoofed calls, coming from various numbers, and occasionally even mimicking Comcast’s own number. Quite the nuisance, if you ask me!

I had a rather alarming message left on my answerphone, claiming to be from the tax authorities. They urged me to return their call to 469-506-0667. This was the third attempt they made to reach me throughout the day, leaving behind two messages. It's quite astonishing that they seem to think they can get away with this, especially considering how widely publicised these fraudulent schemes are these days. It’s a right shame for those caught up in such deceitful practices. Fingers crossed that others remain vigilant and do not fall for their tricks!

The individual on the line demanded I press certain keys on my computer, and when I refused, he began to make rather inappropriate comments about my young daughter.
