So, I got a call about me phoning my girlfriend heaps, which is long distance by the way. Our calls usually go on for like an hour or sometimes more, but seriously, that ain't enough reason for them to threaten charging me for it. I don’t really call her nonstop anyway - except when she can’t pick up cos she’s going through a rough patch or missed the ring and wants me to try again.

My mate got a call saying Comcast was gonna give her free service for three months because of the storms, but honestly, that’s gotta be a scam from some call centre in India preying on older folks. Took me nearly an hour on the phone with one of those guys another day and realised it’s all dodgy. Don’t trust it!

Somebody rang up saying they’d sort me a refund for three months of Xfinity. They asked me to follow some steps over the phone, but I just played along without actually doing anything. Then they tried pushing me to install some program and enable cookies on my laptop. Total con, and I reckon older folks might fall for it easily.

I reckon this was Comcast ringing to ask about a survey related to a recent customer service call I had. They wanted feedback on how the agent did. I said yes to it, as it was just a few questions, maybe three or so, like the last survey I took. It didn't last very long at all.

I got a call on my mobile and my landline from someone saying she’s “Emmy” working for Comcast. It was really odd because it was like 10:45pm when she rang, totally woke me up. Never heard of a call that late before!

I had a bad experience at WalMart where an Infinity guy straight up lied to me. When Comcast showed up to set up my cable, I told them to leave becasue of the mess. Then I found a box with gear left right outside my door. Took it to UPS and sent it back. Tried calling Comcast's support in India but got nowhere. That 1-800-266-2278 number is just shady Comcast nonsense. Seriously, don’t waste your money on their scams.

I tried calling 1 800 266 2278 back on 25/02/2018, but it didn’t ring and went quiet right after someone picked up. This number showed up on my credit card statement linked to Comcast cable charges I never approved. While digging around online, I stumbled upon someone else mentioning something similar with PG&E and this number, though I can’t recall exactly where I saw it after skimming through a bunch of posts. What’s noteworthy is that I also had dealings with PG&E about the same time these mysterious billings started back in June 2016. I’m not saying it’s definitely connected, but it does seem suspiciously linked. I’ll keep checking into it and share any updates here.

It seems like scammers are faking calls pretending to be Comcast. It began right after I rang up PG&E to set up service for a second home. Once that was sorted, they passed me onto a person who claimed I could get a better Comcast deal since I'm already with PG&E. Thing is, the Comcast service never actually got set up. Since then, I’ve been bombarded with a load of spoofed calls, coming from all sorts of numbers, with some even showing as Comcast’s number.

These guys ring me all the time, even on weekends, from early morning like 8am right through to 10pm. Most times, when I pick up, there’s complete silence. It’s getting beyond annoying now, feels like proper harassment. They really need to be looked into and stopped.

Got a voicemail from some bloke pretending to be from the IRS, telling me off. They left two messages after ringing me three times throughout the day. They wanted me to call back on 469-506-0667. You’d think they’d know this con is famous by now - all over the news and online. Such a sad situation for anyone caught up in this scam. Fingers crossed no one falls for their nonsense!
