8 yearsMy husband got a recorded call from this number claiming that his AT&T account had been suspended and urging him to hit 1 to confirm his identity. Instead of following theirs instructions, I decided to ring AT&T directly to flag this dubious call. The woman who answered sounded utterly uninterested, as if it was just a minor inconvenience. She then went on about how my bill was overdue, which was completely untrue. I stood my ground and told her that I had paid my bill, after which she seemed to backtrack and admitted she'd seen the payment - apparently, everything was perfectly fine with the account, and there was no suspension at all. I asserted that I already knew this, considering his phone is linked to my account and mine was working without a hitch!AT & T8 yearsI chose not to pick up the phone, and to my surprise, they left an automated voicemail. All it said was that my account had been suspended and instructed me to press 1 to reactivate it. Out of curiosity, I rang the number back, only to encounter a recording that asked if I or any member of my household was 50 years or older, with a prompt to press 1 if that was the case.
