Reports on phone number 7867386928
11 yearsOh goodness, here we go again! I received a call stating I'd accrued some significant debt. When I inquired about their location, they claimed to be from “The Treasury.” I couldn’t help but ask if they meant the IRS. Then they quizzed me about whether or not I had legal representation. The accents were thick and the whole interaction felt rather unrefined, to say the least. The Treasury11 yearsToday, I received a rather alarming phone call from the number 786-738-6928. The chap on the other end claimed I owed back taxes and suggested my arrest was imminent. First off, I found it quite peculiar when he introduced himself as Steve O'Conner-definitely a name that rings distinctly Irish, yet he spoke with a thick Indian accent. The next major warning sign was his insistence that I head to a nearby shop to purchase some sort of voucher or prepaid card, which felt incredibly dodgy. He was very pushy, and I must admit, a tad intimidating. What raised my eyebrows further was that he seemed to have my full name, address, and even my birth date. On top of that, he mentioned the tax account I had back in 2012, which is rather concerning. Feeling uneasy, I contacted the IRS directly, and they assured me it was all a scam. I sincerely hope others don't fall victim to such tricks and end up losing their hard-earned cash.Steve O ' ConnerIRS11 yearsI received a similar call earlier today. It initially had me quite anxious, but after reading through the comments, I’ve calmed down and realised it’s just a scam. I truly appreciate everyone who took the time to share their experiences!11 yearsRecently, I had an experience with this number where someone rang an old contact of mine, claiming that I had to return a call regarding some supposed legal matters. He introduced himself as James Patterson and even had the audacity to wish me a 'blessed day'! Clearly a scam, I thought. So naturally, I took to Google to investigate the number further and confirmed it’s indeed dodgy. Whatever you do, steer clear of calling back or disclosing any personal details!James PattersonGoogle11 yearsI received a call on my landline with a voicemail claiming to be from the Legal Department of the US Treasury. Out of curiosity, I returned the call and inquired how I could verify that it was genuinely the Treasury. The response I got was rather shocking; the person, with a pronounced accent, told me to 'f*** off’. I'm rather sceptical that they were actually affiliated with any branch of the US Government.Legal Department of theUS TreasuryTreasuryUS Government11 yearsToday, I received a phone call from the exact same chap who had an Indian accent but pretended his name was James. He claimed he was from the US Treasury Department and demanded to speak to my lawyer, much like what others have reported here. When I mentioned that I've been out of work for over a decade, he suddenly cut off the call. Quite bizarre, don't you think?JamesUS Treasury Department11 yearsReceived a phone call at my residence. They were quite aggressive, hinting at legal action.11 yearsHe dropped me a message, and deep down, I suspected it was nonsense, yet I dialled him up for a laugh anyway. Honestly, what a daft bloke with that thick accent of his!11 yearsI received a voicemail earlier today from someone claiming to be James Patterson from the Department of Legal Affairs. He insisted I ring him back or I might find myself embroiled in some sort of legal quagmire. Honestly, since when does the government sign off with a "God bless" and “have a lovely day”? The attempt at a southern twang was laughable at best.James PattersonDepartment of Legal AffairsGod11 yearsI’ve just had a similar experience. A bloke named Jim Hatters left a voicemail for my daughter, claiming he was associated with the Legal Department. He had a bit of an accent too. What a berk! The thing that caught my attention was when he asked her to have her solicitor give him a ring; otherwise, I wouldn’t have even thought to investigate it further.Jim HattersLegal Department11 yearsI received a call from a chap with an Indian accent claiming to be Officer Robert Davis from the US Treasury Department. He informed me that there were legal actions initiated against me and inquired whether I had legal representation. I threw a few questions back at him, which seemed to fluster him, and then he urged me to return the call to a supposed Steve O'Connor at the US Treasury’s Legal Affairs. After a lengthy exchange, I requested him to resend the certified letter he said had not reached me due to my absence at the time. He became quite exasperated and insulted my intelligence, declaring it wouldn’t happen because I was ‘so stupid.’ Honestly, it was such a shoddy ploy that it verged on the absurd!Robert DavisUS Treasury DepartmentSteve O ' ConnorUS Treasury11 yearsI received a call from the same number, and they tried to intimidate me with threats of legal action. What’s the process for reporting this and pursuing charges?11 yearsI received a rather suspicious call from someone who, with a rather thick accent, claimed that my wife was involved in a legal matter with the Treasury. When I tried to reach out to him again, he answered, but only wanted my wife, whom I informed him wasn’t available. He was quite evasive about the details, and abruptly hung up on me. Undeterred, I attempted to ring back multiple times, only for him to answer as if he were working for Domino's, completely denying any association with the Treasury as well. It’s all very dubious if you ask me. He introduced himself as Robert Davis, yet his accent suggested he was from the Middle East. Definitely a con artist!TreasuryDomino ' sRobert DavisMiddle EastSubmit Your Own Report (07867 386928)
