They can ring me as much as they like, but I never pick up if I don’t recognise the number. That’s exactly what voicemail is for, isn’t it? This one showed up with 11 digits and then 10 digits right after on the screen - ridiculous! Honestly, it’s mad that folks actually pick up those calls. If it says Private Caller, Unknown Caller, or Unknown Number, I just don’t bother. If they’ve got my name and number, then I reckon I should be able to work out who’s calling me.

We keep posting about these numbers, but is anyone actually doing anything about it? What steps can we take to stop this? I already blocked these lot once when they rang from a different number, but now they’ve switched to a new area code. It never ends!

Just got a call but didn’t answer. I get loads of annoying telemarketing calls all the time. My usual thing is to wait and see if they leave a voicemail. If nothing’s left, then it’s clearly not important. After that, I always Google the number to check if it’s one of those dodgy calls. Turns out this one was listed right here on this site. So my plan is to save the number under my contacts as "blacklist 1" or something similar. I’m already up to number 10 on my blacklist now. So whenever they call again, I can just ignore it or bung it straight to voicemail by pressing end. I’ve noticed the numbers I’ve blocked like this barely ever call back anymore. Probably because they either give up or switch numbers after a while.
