I've been bombarded by this blighter using different phone numbers. They send me messages as soon as I block one. I finally picked up the phone out of sheer curiosity and they had the audacity to ask for my address, claiming it was regarding a debt on a Ford. I told them to shove off since I've never owned a Ford in my life. But alas, the harassing calls continue. They even rang my wife, asking about my whereabouts! It's baffling why the authorities aren't taking action against these scammers!

These persistent callers begin their ringing at the crack of dawn, around 7 o'clock, and they don’t let up until nearly 9:30 in the evening. It’s the same old story - they’re hunting for someone who's not in residence.

They seem to ring me daily, often from different digits. I've been blocking them after each attempt. Once, I picked up and they claimed to be from CBC Collections, probing about an old loan from TD Bank that I haven't had any dealings with in over three decades! They refused to share more details unless I disclosed my date of birth, which I straight-up refused to do. The conversation ended rather abruptly after that. Quite dodgy, if you ask me.

It's CBT Collections reaching out. They seem to be chasing me for a debt that's nearly a decade old, and honestly, I don't have any documentation or recollection regarding it. I've chosen to disregard their attempts for now, especially after I contacted the original creditors, who couldn’t confirm whether it was settled or not.

I recently stumbled upon the CBV website, where they provide a downloadable form that you can print and send to them, specifically requesting that all communication be conducted via post. I would highly recommend that you also reach out to Consumer Protection and inform them of your wish to limit CBV's correspondence to written letters only. It appears that failing to adhere to such a request could result in penalties for CBV. Familiarise yourself with your rights and ensure you submit your request in writing, as this is the most effective means to halt their calls. It’s not uncommon for them to attempt collection for debts that you have already settled, so stay vigilant!

I've been receiving numerous calls on my mobile throughout the day from this particular number; they hardly ever bother to leave a message. On the rare occasion they do, it’s someone speaking in French, which isn’t a language I’m familiar with. To make matters worse, they mispronounce my surname! It’s not just a singular number either, as multiple numbers seem to ring through. Curiously, just moments after my mobile goes silent, the landline tends to ring once too. Quite the mystery!

I receive these calls non-stop! My blocked numbers list is positively overflowing. The callers tend to claim they're addressing a business issue or that I owe them some cash. My usual response is to inform them that I either don’t have any account with the company in question or that I’d like any relevant information sent through so I can review it, or perhaps even bring it to the attention of the authorities. Most of the time, they promptly hang up or ring back with another person on the line. At this point, I’ve made it my mission to continue blocking these nuisance calls!

This particular number is associated with CBV collections, operating out of Vancouver/Burnaby, British Columbia. I’ve had the displeasure of informing them countless times-definitely more than a hundred!-that they keep dialling the wrong number. It's incredibly maddening! I block them each time, yet somehow they manage to reach me again from a different number! The frustration is off the charts! I advise reporting them to your mobile provider, as after three complaints, it can be classified as HARRASSMENT under the law!

I recently acquired my cousin's old phone number, and it's become somewhat of a nuisance. Her mates seem to think I'm still her, and they've been bombarding me with messages. I've noticed a surge in calls from this number over the last month, with at least five ringing in daily. I haven't picked up any of them, mainly because it’s a long-distance code. Now, I'm at a bit of a loss on how to address the situation. I'm just keen for the calls to cease!
