This person has been ringing me from loads of different numbers. Every time I block one, they just send texts instead. I picked up once to see what was going on, and they asked for my address to check my identity because apparently I owe money on a Ford. I told them to shove off since I've never owned a Ford in my life. Still, they won't stop calling. They even phoned my wife, asking where I was. Why on earth don’t the police do anything about these scammers?

They keep ringing me up from different numbers every single day. I just block them straight after they call. I finally picked up once and the voice on the other end said it was 'CBC Collections' asking about some old loan with TD Bank. Thing is, I haven’t had any dealings with TD in like over 30 years. When I asked for more details, they said they couldn't tell me anything unless I gave my date of birth. Obviously, I didn’t give it. Then they just hung up.

I’ve done everything to block these lot but they just keep coming back. Honestly, if you’re going to keep hassling people, at least find a proper job instead of this nonsense. Enough is enough!

So, this company called CBT Collections keeps hassling me about a debt that's supposed to be nearly 9 years old. Thing is, I don’t recall anything about it and have no paperwork or proof. I rang the original company, and they couldn’t even tell me if the debt was cleared or still active. For now, I’m just ignoring their calls cause it all seems a bit dodgy.

There's a form on the CBV site you can print and send back, asking them to communicate with you just through letters. I'd also recommend getting in touch with Consumer Protection and letting them know you've asked CBV to only reach out by post. From what I gather, CBV could be fined if they keep ringing after such a request. Doing some research on your rights and making this demand in writing seems to be the only way to make them stop. Apparently, they've been known to chase payments repeatedly for bills already cleared.

I keep getting calls on my mobile loads of times everyday, but they never leave any voicemail. On the rare occasion they do, its some french speaker which I can’t understand at all. They also mess up the pronunciation of my surname, which is a bit strange. There’s more than one number bothering me too. What’s weird is right after my mobile stops buzzing, my landline rings just once almost instantly.

These calls are nonstop for me. I’ve got a whole bunch of numbers blocked now cause it’s getting ridiculous. Most times they say it’s about a business thing or that I owe them money. I just respond by saying I’ve never dealt with that company, and if there’s anything legit, they should send me the details in writing so I can check it, or I’ll go to the cops. I keep getting calls like that too - no voicemail left and they ring from loads of different numbers. They keep telling me I’m behind on some debt from 20 years ago. The crazy thing is, I don’t owe a penny to anyone. I keep a close eye on my credit and even pay for a monitoring service, so I know what’s on my report. Of course, back in the day, I did cover a credit card bill for my ex without realising until after we split, but I sorted it all out then. Honestly, these callers can go take a hike... but eh, not worth getting stressed about it. I reckon I’ll just mess with them a bit next time and talk some rubbish back!

I keep getting calls from this number constantly, but they never leave any voicemail. It’s really frustrating since I can’t just silence my phone because I need to be reachable for work all the time. The worst is when I’m meeting with a client and this same number rings repeatedly, sometimes as many as four times in an hour. Honestly, it’s so awkward. What’s more confusing is that after this number calls, another one rings shortly after, sometimes even immediately after, and it keeps bouncing between different numbers. This number is from CBV Collections out of Vancouver/Burnaby B.C. I've told them on countless occasions that they've got the wrong number, yet they keep ringing me. Every time I block one number, they just ring back from another one! It's seriously irritating. Best thing to do is report them to your phone provider because after 3 complaints, it counts as harassment by law!

So I’ve got my cousin’s old phone number, and loads of her mates keep texting me, thinking it’s still her.
