12 yearsI received a call from someone saying they were with Microsoft, number was 760-2831718, apparently calling from California. They said they’d spotted loads of error reports pointing to hacking attempts on my device. Weirdly, they even mentioned my CLSID number. I use Norton through Comcast for security and virus protection. They asked to access my computer to “fix” the issues but I refused. Told them that Microsoft tech support I dealt with before never asks for that - usually they get you to run malware checks via a command prompt. I ended the call straight away.
