Thankfully, I have Norton set up as my active firewall and virus protection through Comcast, my internet service provider. I firmly refused to grant them access to my computer, despite their insistence that it was crucial for their assistance. I pointed out that this was not how Microsoft typically operated, as my previous experiences with their tech support involved running specific malware scans from DOS.
