I began receiving these sorts of calls at my workplace following my application for a loan with Eagle Loan. I decided against their exorbitant and dodgy terms - things appeared promising at the start, but then they began offering to settle my car loan (only £2,000 remaining) while I was hoping to secure a £4,000 loan instead. They suggested borrowing £6,000, which would have ballooned into over £10,000 to repay within two years. I thought they were out of their minds, and made sure they knew it - just a bunch of scammers! They claimed the additional charges were for fees and insurance, yet I've already got my own insurance! They reel you in with a supposedly straightforward 25% interest rate and no hidden fees, only to pull a fast one later. Honestly, 25% is outrageous in its own right, but then to tack on even more... absolutely unbelievable!
