Claimed his name was Kevin Mason and started spouting nonsense regarding the US Treasury. Something about potential legal charges looming over me.
Hilarious! I’m no fool; I didn’t just fall off the turnip truck yesterday.
Honestly, I wish there was a way to hold these dimwits accountable.
They really do target vulnerable folks, especially the elderly. I’m 58 myself and encountered a similar scenario a year or two back. The phone provider basically shrugged their shoulders and said they couldn't assist. Blocking the number is an option, but they simply switch to another, so be warned! PLEASE REMEMBER, YOU WILL RECEIVE A LETTER IN THE POST OR VIA COURIER LIKE FEDERAL EXPRESS OR UPS.
NEVER ENGAGE WITH THESE CLOWNS AGAIN.
IT’S JUST A FEAR-MONGERING TACTIC. Most likely, they’re after your money.
So, trust your instincts and think wisely. It’s a SCAM, plain and simple!

Received a call earlier today from a chap identifying himself as "Kevin Mason" from the Treasury. He left a voicemail packed with a load of legal jargon about potential prosecution - honestly, it was quite a struggle to decipher what he was on about. His accent was rather peculiar, too; it sounded like he was mixing up his 'v's with 'w's. When I rang the number back, a voice came on, saying "Treasury Department. Hello? Hello?" but I didn't engage, just stayed silent. Very odd experience, I must say!

I keep receiving a repeated pre-recorded message that threatens legal action against me.

I received a call claiming to be from the Treasury Department, warning me that not responding could land me in hot water. Curious, I rang the number back and had a chat with a chap named David, who bore an uncanny resemblance in tone and manner to that "Kevin Mason" who had been pestering me incessantly. When I expressed my suspicions about their legitimacy and mentioned my intent to report them, they abruptly cut off the call. It seems they’re preying on the elderly... I sincerely hope someone can put a stop to this!

I've had a pair of rather unsettling communications from this number today. They were quite alarming, warning me that neglecting to respond would be viewed as a second violation by the US Treasury, yet they conveniently left out what the original violation was. Just the other week, I got another menacing call from a different number. Is it that time of year when these scammers are out in full force? If anyone has the ability to flag this, it would be much appreciated.

I've received several voicemails dated 30th July, all threatening that I could be arrested at any moment or face a grand jury indictment if I don’t get in touch with them straight away. It's quite alarming, to say the least!
