I just noticed a £4.50 charge for a text I never sent. My phone was on the charger the whole time and there was no one else in the house. Pretty sure it’s some sort of mistake or scam.

So far what I’ve found out is this: the number seems connected to iTechlogic[###]. Their text shortcode is 80181, and the contact email looks to be info@itechlogic[###]. From what I can tell, they use two different phone numbers, either 03300535836 or 08709740563. I’m not gonna call them as I’m worried it might be a premium rate line. Instead, I’m planning to send an email. Also, I’ve reported this to the premium rate services regulator via my mobile network operator just to be on the safe side.

This number keeps calling me but I really have no clue who it is. I normally ignore any calls from numbers I don’t recognise. I use a blocker app though, so if it’s flagged as a scam I just let it ring out. Weirdly, I’m getting charged £3.75 for calls I didn’t even make or pick up! Definitely going to look into this and find out what’s going on.
