I keep getting calls from the same number all the time, always hanging up just as I pick up which is super annoying. Hasn’t anyone in Singapore got a way to deal with these numbers? I’ve reported it loads but nothing seems to happen.

This number kept ringing me every single morning! When I picked up, the bloke said he was from Standard Chartered and needed to check some details by asking for my mum's maiden name. I gave it to him. Next, he wanted to know if I had a joint account and asked for my bank account number. I said nope, I don’t. Haha. Then he pushed for my actual account number, which made me feel uneasy - why would he want it before properly verifying me? That’s when I got the vibe something was off. So, I just ended the call. After looking through the comments, it might be some dodgy guy pretending to be from Standard Chartered or just a scammer. Either way, fingers crossed he didn’t get any info from me.

got a call from someone saying they were from standard chartered bank, but it sounded dodgy. they wanted the name on my credit card right away. when i asked what the call was about, they said they couldn't explain until i gave the info. i told them it made no sense for the bank to need me to verify stuff when they were the ones calling me first. after that, they just told me to ring customer service instead. total scammer move.

Yesterday, I got a call from someone claiming to be from Standard Chartered asking for my ID, but I didn’t give it to them. They told me to ring Standard Chartered straight away.

Then today, I got another call about a joint account I’ve never heard of. I spoke to a Standard Chartered staff member and it turns out I don’t have any joint accounts with them. Still, I did end up giving my full name.

Every morning, this number rings at the exact same time but nobody ever talks when I pick up.

They rang me a couple of times, and when I answered the second one, the person said they were from Standard Chartered asking about my visa, like when I last used it. Honestly, I barely remember using it a few months ago, so how could I say exactly when? After I told them that, they just said, “Alright, guess I can’t verify anything now, I’ll call you again later.” Bit of a joke really.
