I keep getting these messages from someone called ‘Paul Smith’, even after blocking them loads of times. There’s never a number shown, but the texts say he’s some kind of investor. It tells you to text 60777 to stop, but I’m sure it’s a total scam. Even my provider, O2, hasn’t been able to block it for me!

Got a call from some 'Energy Team' about moving me to a new tariff, felt like a total scam right away. I’ve flagged it and blocked the number now.

Got a call from the Energy Team saying they wanted to chat about my energy consumption. They said if I want to opt out, just text [four-letter-code]STOP to 60777. I've already blocked and reported them.

Got a couple of texts mentioning my name, claiming I was an Allay PPI client and could get a refund on my car finance. The funny thing is, I've never had PPI or any sort of car finance!

Says they help you get back ppi money you paid.

Day Lewis Pharmacy just automatically signed me up for their spammy marketing texts. The message said something like "Book your free NHS blood pressure check. High BP can lead to stroke/heart attack. Book now: https://www.daylewis.co.uk/bp To opt out text DLSMSSTOP to 60777". But the first text I got from them had no opt out option at all. I think they must have taken my number without permission from my NHS records to send these annoying messages. I’ve reported it to the ICO.

I got signed up to rubbish SMS adverts from Day Lewis Pharmacy all by themselves. The first text was about booking a free NHS Blood Pressure check and spoke about risks like strokes and heart attacks, but didn’t mention how to stop it. Afterwards, they sent another with an opt-out option: Text DLSMSSTOP to 60777. I reckon they must’ve nicked my number from NHS records without asking. Definitely reported them to the ICO for misusing my private info for spam.

Got a message from a firm saying they’re working with ALLAY - PPI RECLAIM COMPANY, apparently assigned to UK GPC LTD and then TAX REFUNDS LTD, about getting back tax HMRC supposedly took wrongly from my PPI payout. The text said ‘IMPORTANT! Michael, you might have more PPI money to claim. We think HMRC wrongly took tax from your PPI compensation! Click here for info taxback.allay.co.uk/kvmL9Lima2n1 Reply PKE8ASTOP to 60777 to opt out.’ Feels a bit dodgy to me.

Got a text from Touchstone saying: " Hi Mike (REMINDER) 8PM: Webclass For Finding, Funding, and Filling Commercial Properties: https://bit.ly/3R3x9cJ Optout: Text 6YBPMSTOP to 60777 " ------------- It looks like a site offering talks on property investment, but I haven't looked into it properly cos of security worries. They also asked to join a YouTube channel and offered a book where you only pay for postage (£3.65). I'd be careful sharing your private phone if you have bank or card info saved.

Two texts came through from 60777 mentioning Ashbourne in the message. Can someone please explain why I’m getting these?

Told them to send STOP to this number, but the message never goes through and just sits in my outbox. Proper waste of time, honestly.

Got a marketing message from Admiral Insurance. At the bottom it said "text 'ADMIRALSTOP to 60777' to opt out of messages." I foolishly tried it and ended up getting charged 15p for that. Definitely won’t be trying that another time.

Got a text from TheRepublic saying my citizenship is approved, with a "Secret message for citizens" and a dodgy link I didn’t open. Then another link titled "Secret headquarters for citizens" which also looked sketchy, so I ignored it. The message finished with “Fine evening to you.” They included an opt-out option: Text 7YFHMSTOP to 60777. Seems like a spammy message to me.

Got tons of texts saying I can save more than £300 on my energy bills, kept sending STOP to 60777. It slowed down for a bit but then started coming again.

I got a message from this number about cutting down energy costs. I replied with STOP to try and block them. Fingers crossed it works. I've tried switching my energy supplier quite a few times, but honestly, it didn’t lower my bills. Actually, I've ended up worse off because they keep any leftover credit on your meter. It’s just more hassle than it’s worth, unless you’ve got loads of cash to throw around.

Got messages from ciceley commercial mercedes about new vans. Tried to reply with stop but my phone flagged 60777 as a premium number. No idea how to forward texts to 726 either. Reached out to ciceley themselves and told them this kinda stuff could harm their image.

I keep getting texts from cruise ist even tho I never signed up for anything. They say to stop the msgs, I can call a number (which isn’t answered) or text livestop to 60777. It only costs 8p but still, it’s annoying and I’m not sure if it’s gonna actually make them stop.

A loan company sent me a text and asked me to reply STOP if I didn’t want more messages. Even after I did that, the texts kept rolling in. On top of that, my EE bill got a 13p charge for some reason.

Discounts for utilities and voucher codes, but there’s no way to get hold of the firm or reply to the number given, 60777. Completely useless.

They kept bothering me and wouldn’t stop calling. I even tried to text them to make it cease, but nothing worked. So frustrating.

this number belongs to a company called utility discount that sends texts about your energy bills. they say you agreed to this when filling out some online form but the consent is buried deep in their privacy policy. since short code texts can’t be blocked easily the most effective way to stop them is to reach out to their customer support and request they delete your info under the gdpr 2018 rights.

I'm really fed up with getting messages from 'Bingo Extra' all the time, and there’s no number shown. They say to text 60777 to opt out, but even after reporting it as spam, the texts just won't quit. This has to end.

There's this number from someone called 'Chris' sending me messages about a £100 loan, saying if I want out, I should text STOP to 60777. I can’t seem to block the number either. Avoid replying with 'stop' to these calls, it doesn't do anything and they end up charging you. Best to just block the numbers straight away.

On 22/9/2017 I got a text and didn’t respond but the provider still charged me for it. I’ve been getting loads of texts from this ‘Office’ place, and they tell me to reply if I want the messages to stop. But why on earth should I have to send a text and pay just to make it all go away? The messages mention a website, but the screen on my phone goes dark before I can write down the link. At first, I assumed it was something to do with stationery, but later found out Office is actually a clothing shop. No clue how they got hold of my number considering I only use my phone for emergencies and to communicate with government stuff.

My little niece, who’s just 12, keeps getting all these texts and it’s causing a right mess. Her mum covers the phone bill, but because of these messages, she often gets accused of racking it up and ends up in trouble. It’s maddening how these businesses keep sending texts and charging her loads, which honestly feels like harassment. I’m desperate to find a way to make it all stop!

Oh, we’ve had that spam message as well! It’s quoting the number for my nearby Pizza Hut and claims we can grab any size pizza for just £9.99! Quite the cheeky offer, isn’t it?

I keep getting texts all the time from Domino’s on this number. What annoys me is my phone doesn't even let me block or mark them as spam like it does with other rubbish messages. Plus, there’s no option to unsubscribe anywhere in the text. I don’t even like pizza! After seeing what others have said, I’m not bothering to reply to unsubscribe either. Honestly, I just want to tell them to stop pestering me, but just like lots of people here, I’ve got no way of doing that. So now, all I do is moan about Domino’s to anyone who’ll listen and warn them to steer clear unless they want to get bombarded with pointless texts too. It’s really backfired on Domino’s with me and I’m shouting about it everywhere. Seems like the only thing I can do after being harassed by these messages is share my frustration with others.
