60777 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 60777 👆 is reported as a common short code used by numerous UK businesses, often for marketing and subscription services, but it is frequently associated with unsolicited texts, scams, and premium-rate charges when users reply to opt out. Many recipients express frustration at receiving unwanted messages, some impersonating known companies or offering dubious deals, and complain that sending "STOP" commands can incur fees without stopping the texts. The shortcode is managed by a messaging provider but is exploited by third parties, making it difficult to trace or block. Users are advised to avoid replying directly, report suspicious messages to their network provider, and contact the shortcode operator for legitimate opt-outs. Vigilance is necessary as unsolicited texts may lead to unexpected charges and privacy concerns.

Spotted a charge on my bill I didn’t recognise. When I called EE, they mentioned something about a third party blocking service. The weird thing is, I’ve got no messages saved on my phone related to it.

Some HGV Driver Training place just put my number on their list without asking me first. Now I’m getting loads of texts from them and apparently, I’ve got to send a message to stop it. No way I’m doing that, I never signed up for any of this. If they don’t stop texting me, I’ll have to get in touch with them. Feels like a dodgy scam to make quick cash without any consent. Proper annoying.

I noticed 4 strange charges on my EE bill but couldn’t find anything about them on my phone’s message history or anywhere. I contacted EE, and they blocked the number straight away. They also advised me to send the suspicious number to 7726 to flag it as a scam. It’s odd that the texts never showed up on my phone itself. EE said I did the right thing by reporting it because it could have ended up costing me a lot. Thankfully, they stopped it from going through. Definitely a dodgy number and quite risky. Make sure to send a text with the number to 7726 if you see anything like this! 👍

I keep getting these messages from someone called ‘Paul Smith’, even after blocking them loads of times. There’s never a number shown, but the texts say he’s some kind of investor. It tells you to text 60777 to stop, but I’m sure it’s a total scam. Even my provider, O2, hasn’t been able to block it for me!

Beware of those annoying spam messages telling you to text 60777 to opt out - if you follow their instructions and text *STOP, you’ll end up paying 12p. It’s a sneaky way these spam callers try to get your money. Really bad practice from these unwanted texts.

I got a couple of texts from Virgin Gyms the other day. Since I’d just been to the Virgin Gym they mentioned, I figured right away it was a scam aimed at people like me. They did include the real phone number of a local Virgin Gym in the messages, but then they added that dodgy 60777 number at the end which made it clear it wasn’t legit, so I didn’t bother replying.

Day Lewis Pharmacy just automatically signed me up for their spammy marketing texts. The message said something like "Book your free NHS blood pressure check. High BP can lead to stroke/heart attack. Book now: https://www.daylewis.co.uk/bp To opt out text DLSMSSTOP to 60777". But the first text I got from them had no opt out option at all. I think they must have taken my number without permission from my NHS records to send these annoying messages. I’ve reported it to the ICO.

It seems that Day Lewis Pharmacy has taken it upon themselves to enrol you in their SMS marketing without your consent. Just received a message from them about booking a complimentary NHS Blood Pressure test, warning about the dangers of hypertension-stroke, heart attack, and all that. They even included a link to their website, but curiously enough, the initial text didn’t offer a clear option to unsubscribe. I’ve gone ahead and reported them to the ICO for apparently pilfering my number from my NHS records to pester me with unsolicited messages. Quite outrageous, really!

I got signed up to rubbish SMS adverts from Day Lewis Pharmacy all by themselves. The first text was about booking a free NHS Blood Pressure check and spoke about risks like strokes and heart attacks, but didn’t mention how to stop it. Afterwards, they sent another with an opt-out option: Text DLSMSSTOP to 60777. I reckon they must’ve nicked my number from NHS records without asking. Definitely reported them to the ICO for misusing my private info for spam.

I received a message from this number claiming they could help me save on my energy costs. Naturally, I responded with a "STOP" text to cut off any further communication. Fingers crossed that does the trick! In my experience, hopping from one energy supplier to another doesn’t always lead to savings. More often than not, I end up worse off as they tend to hold onto any leftover credit on my meter. It’s just an unnecessary hassle, especially if you aren’t rolling in cash.

this number belongs to a company called utility discount that sends texts about your energy bills. they say you agreed to this when filling out some online form but the consent is buried deep in their privacy policy. since short code texts can’t be blocked easily the most effective way to stop them is to reach out to their customer support and request they delete your info under the gdpr 2018 rights.

Back on 22nd September 2017, I received a text message that I simply chose not to respond to, yet my service provider still went ahead and deducted charges from my account. Then, on 19th October 2017, I got another message from a premium number, 789921, which I also ignored, but yet again, I found myself facing an unwelcome charge. I'm quite perplexed about how to put a stop to these annoying interruptions and I’d love to know how these companies got hold of my phone number in the first place! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, as this situation is becoming rather frustrating.

I keep receiving messages from this number. I’m utterly baffled as to how they managed to get hold of my digits since I hardly ever use my phone.

I recently received a message regarding a secret sale and was instructed to text a specific number if I wanted to opt out. However, I've just been informed that sending a message to that number will incur charges. This is quite frustrating!

What steps can I take to put an end to these text messages?

I've noticed that this particular number has been deducting money from my account, and I haven't a clue what it's all about. How do I go about putting a stop to it?

I've just received my bill for £4.50 from Domino's for the number 60777, and I can hardly stomach the thought of bread! Honestly, it's driving me up the wall. If this keeps up, I might just have to make an entrance in my van through their shop window!

I received a message from a chap named John Pearce regarding tickets for some sort of corporate conference. Being a stay-at-home mum, I can't say I'll find it particularly riveting unless it involves the newest hoover or mop!

I keep getting these incessant messages claiming that I can opt out simply by replying. But really, why on earth should I bear the expense of sending a text just to fend off this unwanted nuisance? The messages mention 'Office' and contain a website link, but my phone screen is too dim to capture all the digits and letters before it switches off. At first, I presumed they were from a stationery shop, yet it turns out that Office is actually a clothing retailer. I'm utterly baffled as to how they acquired my number since I exclusively use my mobile for urgent matters and official business.

I’m absolutely exasperated! My poor niece, at just twelve, is being bombarded with messages from these incessant texters. It’s her mother who foots the phone bill, yet every time those pests ping her, it leads to major conflicts at home. Her mum is convinced my niece is racking up costs and it’s causing all sorts of trouble. How on earth can we put an end to this madness? It’s utterly ridiculous how companies can send these texts, racking up expenses for the very person receiving them - it feels like harassment, to be honest! Something needs to change!

I keep receiving texts claiming I’ve signed up for a service at a weekly fee of £4.50! I can assure you, I haven’t subscribed to anything at all. It’s quite concerning that I might get charged for something I didn’t agree to. I haven’t replied with ‘Stop’ yet, but I’m definitely planning to call the landline number provided to finally put an end to these annoying messages. It's ridiculous how I get bombarded with at least six of them daily-I'm utterly fed up with this!

Oh, we’ve had that spam message as well! It’s quoting the number for my nearby Pizza Hut and claims we can grab any size pizza for just £9.99! Quite the cheeky offer, isn’t it?

I've recently sorted it out (at the cost of a standard landline call) to have my details removed from their database. The number in question is 01244752299, and I selected option 2.

I can't believe you've had the audacity to message me. I definitely did not agree to this nor have I granted any sort of permission. Rest assured, I'll be taking this matter up with the appropriate authorities-no doubt about it! I'm utterly fed up with the constant barrage of spam, unsolicited texts, and phone calls! It's high time these companies got a lesson in respect.

It's now adding an extra £30 to my monthly phone bill, which is absolutely ridiculous. If anyone has any advice or a solution, I would really appreciate the help! Cheers, Alicia

Haha, we're in the same boat! They just won’t give up, will they? I've tried emailing, texting, and even giving them a bell. Now I've escalated things to a more serious level.
