Like some folks already said, this number is a premium one. I would’ve been fine if replying didn’t cost anything, but luckily my phone is on a postpaid plan so I didn’t have any credit to pay for it, and the message wouldn’t send anyway. Barclays really ought to step up their game with this.

I got a message from this number after taking out a loan with Barclays for a bathroom makeover with Wickes. It looked like it was really from Barclays, but it turned out to be just a survey and it’s apparently on a premium rate line. The text came just after a legit message from Barclays, so I figured it was real, but since it’s only a survey, no need to reply. Barclays’ original message said the survey was free to answer, but then my phone provider sent me a warning that replying would cost me, so be careful and don’t answer if you don’t want to get charged.

My husband received a message from this number asking him to confirm with a ‘y’ or ‘n’. Thinking it was legit, he replied, but then the same text kept coming through again and again. He won’t admit how many times he responded, but each time he did, they’d send it all over again.
