Their purpose isn't just to deliver a coupon book; they also attempt to persuade you into purchasing whatever they are selling. It's best to disregard their telephone calls.

They requested to speak with us specifically and abruptly ended the call once we confirmed our presence. Could this be an attempt to assess whether or not we were home, with intentions of breaking in?

At precisely 8:36am, they give me a ring and rudely disconnect the call, even after I greeted them five times. It's absolutely exasperating!

I received a call today from someone claiming to be from my insurance company. They asked if I lived at xxxxxxxx, so I asked them to repeat the name of the insurance company. However, instead of repeating, the person abruptly hung up. It was quite rude, really.

It's clearly a scam, so I suggest blocking the number.

A person who calls us every week, acknowledging our names, and expressing a desire to visit when we are present at home, raises suspicion. Are they targeting us as potential victims of scams or intending to trespass and steal from us?

I greeted her twice, but she already knew my name. She mentioned that they would be in my vicinity next Tuesday at 2pm to distribute a coupon discount book. I responded with a nonchalant "Yes, alright." Surprisingly, she didn't ask for any information from me. Quite strange! It seems like there might be something fishy going on.

My mother received a call asking whether she would be at home by 2:00.

On Monday, they contacted my father, informing him that they would be delivering something to him at 3 p.m. on Wednesday. They also mentioned that if he had any questions, they could speak to him for 10 minutes. Initially, I didn't pay much attention to it. However, after the scheduled delivery time had passed, I decided to call back the number displayed on the caller ID. After ringing for a while, all I heard was a series of beeps. So, I decided to investigate further and find out the owner of that number. And here I am now. Earlier, I had mentioned to my father about the "can you hear me now" scam. I am concerned that he may have unknowingly gotten himself into trouble.

I recently had a phone call from the number 586-554-2818. The voice on the other end was quite difficult to hear, so I found myself repeatedly asking "pardon?" However, receiving no response, I decided to end the call. Do you think it is necessary to contact the authorities about this situation?

My mother gets frightened by these phone calls as they occur when she is having difficulty reaching the phone, and there is nobody on the other end.

During my evening news routine, I came across a report about senior citizens falling victim to scam callers. The story revealed that these unscrupulous individuals exploit the simple act of saying "yes" during phone conversations, such as in response to questions like "Can you hear me?" or "Is this Mr. Smith?". They deceitfully record this affirmative response and later misuse it to open credit cards and cause overall disruption in your life. Unfortunately, this exact scenario unfolded for my husband earlier today. Our unknowing caller claimed they would leave coupons at our doorstep but this was clearly a ploy. In light of this incident, I have taken it upon myself to inform all my neighbours, as well as seek advice from my acquaintances in the local police force. It is of utmost importance that we all remain vigilant and refrain from uttering the word "yes" when faced with such phone calls.

Beware of inexperienced marketing individuals in Warren, Michigan. They will contact you with a pitch like, "We'll be in your area handing out free coupons for seniors" or some similar nonsense. The truth is, they will only be in your area because they have scheduled an appointment with you, and whatever you purchase from them will end up costing you more than it should. It's a scam, and a costly one at that. One way to deal with them is by giving them a confirmed appointment, only to disappoint them greatly when they come in person. Perhaps by doing this, you can finally convince them to remove your number from their calling list. If you wish to confront them in person and make a complaint, visit America's Professional Services Association Inc at 6900 Miller, Ste 110, Warren. Alternatively, you can reach them on 800 898-8282. I've personally tried asking them to stop contacting me, but they persistently called me again.

I received a phone call informing me that a "home improvement" company is providing free coupon books. Could it be possible that this scheme is aimed at diverting suspicion from potential burglars who plan to target my house just two days before Christmas? If that's the case, those burglars will encounter more than they anticipated. My trusty housekeepers, Smith and Wesson, will handle any inquiries they may have.

I'm constantly receiving unwanted phone calls. My number is registered on the national do not call list, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. These calls occur between 2 to 5 times every day and it's beginning to annoy me. I'm getting really frustrated and want to put a stop to this.
