They called and asked for us by name, I said yes, and then they just hung up! Were they checking if someone was in to maybe break in?

At 8:36 in the morning, I answered with a quick hello, not just once but five times, and then they just went and hung up on me. Proper annoying this lot.

Got a call from this number at about 8:46 this morning. I ignored it and they never bothered to leave any kind of message. After reading the reviews people left, I decided to just block it.

This morning, my phone rang with this number but I didn’t pick up since it was unknown to me. Reading everyone's comments here is pretty helpful. I found out that AT&T lets you block calls now by pressing *61 right after the call ends. Good to know!

Got a call earlier claiming to be from my insurance company, asking if I lived at xxxxxxxx. I asked them to say the insurance company name again and then they just hung up on me. What a waste of time!

I said hello a couple of times and she actually used my name. Then she mentioned something about being around my neighbourhood next Tuesday at 2pm to hand out discount coupon books. I just replied with "Yeah, ok". She didn’t ask for any personal info or anything, which was pretty odd! Feels like there’s something fishy about it...

On Monday, my dad got a call telling him something was going to be delivered to him at 3pm on Wednesday. They also said if he had any questions, they’d talk to him for about 10 minutes. I didn’t really think much of it at first, but once the time passed and nothing showed up, I decided to check the caller ID. I rang the number back, but it just rang then went silent with a beep-beep noise. That’s when I decided to look up who owned the number. Now I’m here trying to figure this out. I’d warned him before about those “can you hear me now” type scams, but I’m really worried he might have fallen into something dodgy.

I was watching the news yesterday evening and there was a piece about elderly folks getting hit up by scammers on the phone. Apparently, the moment they say “yes” to things like “Can you hear me?” or “Is this Mr Johnson?” the crooks record it and use it to take out credit cards in their name and cause all sorts of trouble. My husband got one of those calls earlier today. The caller mentioned they’d be dropping off some coupons at our door. I’ve already warned all our neighbours and even told some police mates about it. Seriously, don’t say “yes” if you get these sorts of calls!

Some dodgy marketing lot out of Warren, Michigan keep ringing me with some BS about “We’re in your neighbourhood handing out free vouchers for seniors” or something like that. The truth is, the only reason they’re nearby is because they’ve got a booked slot with YOU, and whatever they charge will be a proper rip-off. It’s a total con, and a pricey one too. If you manage to confirm an appointment then totally ghost them when they show up, that might finally shut them up. The company goes by America's Professional Services Association Inc, located at 6900 Miller, Ste 110, Warren, if you fancy complaining face-to-face. Or ring them on 800 898-8282. I’ve told them to stop calling, but nope, they keep bothering me still.

I've been getting loads of calls from that number but whenever I pick up, there's no one there.

This was the third time they rang me up, and I warned them that if they ring again, I’d have to involve the police.

Just got a ring from someone claiming to be dropping off free coupon booklets from some "home improvement" business. Makes me wonder if it's some clever trick so the neighbours don't get suspicious before a break-in just before Christmas. If they show up, it’s going to be a very different kind of surprise. My trusty Smith and Wesson will be ready to greet them and sort things out quick.

I’ve got my number listed on the national do not call registry and still getting calls from these people several times each day, sometimes up to five. It’s really getting on my nerves now. Does anyone know a way to actually block these calls for good?
