I keep getting calls that ring just one time and then stop. My caller ID never shows who it is, but my cable provider’s call log says they tried to get through for like 0.03 seconds. These calls come pretty often during the day, roughly every hour or so, but never late at night. It’s a bit annoying honestly.

Got a call out of the blue today from someone acting like we were old mates. He gave his name and claimed to be from tech support, saying my virus protection needed an update. Anyone with a bit of sense knows virus software updates itself or sends you an alert when it’s time to renew your subscription. I asked him, “Which virus program exactly are you talking about?” and he rambled on listing loads of different ones his company supposedly supported. When I pressed for a specific answer on which one he thought I had, he couldn’t give a straight reply. Told him I didn’t use any of those and wished him a good day.
