9 yearsBeware! This scam is still out there. On the 20th of September 2017, I received a call from a person claiming to be a representative from the CSR - Cyber Crime Department, by the name of Simon Rodner. He had a strong Indian accent. He warned me against opening any emails or other forms of communication as they had supposedly discovered Trojan infections on my computer. Sensing something fishy, I started asking numerous questions, which seemed to frustrate him, as he was unable to get me to comply with his instructions. It was quite evident that he was attempting to gain access to my computer. When I questioned why he had contacted our business number, he seemed taken aback and abruptly ended the call without saying anything else.CSR - Cyber Crime DepartmentSimon Rodner9 yearsI recently received a phone call from a lady with a very strong accent. I could hear multiple voices in the background, all repeating the exact same thing to different people. She informed me that all of my computers were infected. I informed her that I had the assistance of Geek Squad, but she insisted that she was already working with them. Curious, I requested her to tell me my name, but she simply made a random guess. The phone number appeared as "unavailable" on my screen, but she provided me with her call back number. Interestingly, she put forth a compelling yet uninformed argument. It was evident that someone was coaching her through the conversation. Eventually, I politely declined her offer and told her to try scamming someone else. I ended the call, but to my surprise, she called me back again.Geek Squad9 yearsPC Solutions Tech is reaching out to inform you that your network firewall has been breached.PC Solutions Tech9 yearsI take pleasure in repeatedly calling and intentionally provoking them until they become angry. He contacted me with the intention of having me switch on my personal computer, claiming that he needed to conduct diagnostics in order to enhance the performance of the operating system. Sensing something amiss, I made it clear to him that my mobile number was registered on the do not call registry and requested him to refrain from contacting me in the future.Kenny BrownPC Solutions10 yearsOn March 3rd, 2017, I received a phone call from Charles Wilkins, who spoke with a non-American accent. He claimed that my computer had been affected by a CSRSSEEXE file and urged me to take immediate action. According to him, he was with the Windows technical support team. He repeatedly insisted that I log onto my computer urgently. A peculiar warning was given to refrain from opening any emails or using my computer until I called him back.Charles Wilkins10 yearsI received a call from someone who claimed that my computer was infected. However, they identified themselves as "Anonymous." This person contacted me to inform me that there were numerous errors on my computer. I became immediately skeptical and decided against granting them access to my computer. To gather more information, I asked for their phone number, and they provided 516-210-0398, extension 913. The person identified themselves as Rick William from Connecticut, but based on their accent, it became apparent that they were likely from either India or Pakistan. To ensure my safety, I opted not to reach out to them and promptly blocked their number on my phone system. It's important to be cautious of individuals who try to gain access to your computer illegally. Furthermore, this "representative" suggested that I enter www.supremocontrol.com into the run command on Windows.
