It’s been a bit of a nuisance as I've been inundated with a barrage of spam calls, but one peculiar call I just had takes the cake. A bloke rang me up - his line was dreadful, to say the least - and he was inquiring about my cousin. His English was rather appalling, and his accent suggested he might be calling from India. When I probed for more details about the so-called ‘department’ he was representing, his response was a muddled repeat of his previous statement, which I could hardly decipher, before he abruptly disconnected.
