I'm based in Orlando, Florida, and got a call earlier this morning on 21/09/2016. I didn’t pick up, but they left a voicemail. A woman said she was Officer Judy Smith from the IRS and insisted I call her back right away because there was some fraud case against me. She warned that if I didn’t get in touch soon, it could end up in federal court or I might even be arrested. This kind of scam has been happening here in the US for ages. Seriously, what can the authorities do to keep people safe from this kind of harassment?
