12 yearsThe caller ID came up as "Toni Simpson" but I didn't pick up. Later, there was a voicemail and all I could hear was heavy breathing. However, faintly in the back, I overheard what sounded like a call centre with a few blokes speaking English with Indian accents, telling people their computers were sending signals and offering help to sort it out. Total scam run by the same lot, just using a new number and name. Seriously, don’t answer or share any details with these scammers!Toni Simpson12 yearsI got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent, and the caller ID said Toni Simpson. He claimed there was a virus on my computer that couldn’t be detected, something to do with Microsoft Office. He said he was from Microsoft support or management or something like that. He asked me to go on my PC so he could show me this hidden virus, even though he had no clue about what kind of computer I own or what antivirus I use. He kept pushing me to log in so he could “prove” the virus was there and tell me what damage it might be causing. When I asked him why he needed access, he got more pushy and demanded I let him connect while we spoke. Honestly, this is definitely a scam - don’t fall for it!Toni SimpsonMicrosoft OfficeMicrosoft12 yearsGot a call from a different number claiming to be Microsoft, saying my computer wasn’t updating properly - definitely one of those scam calls.Microsoft12 yearsGot a call from these people saying my computer reached out to them needing help and that stuff would stop working soon.
