Could you please refrain from ringing me? It's becoming rather tiresome.

I missed a call earlier and, upon trying to ring back, found myself connected to the Verizon wireless billing department. They inquired about my mobile number, but I was hesitant to provide it. They then prompted me for a pressing question: whether I had bought a prepaid phone from Walmart, Target, Best Buy, or any other Verizon retailer-press 1 if so. Since I’ve held my account since '97 and have never gone down the prepaid route, I thought it was all rather odd. I later reached out to Verizon directly and was told it was indeed a scam. Does anyone know how I can put a stop to these pesky calls?
