10 yearsGot a voicemail saying it was from the internal revenue service about some sort of audit, mentioned they’d tried to reach me by post but no luck. The message said it was urgent and I shouldn't ignore it, asking me to ring back straight away. So I used a different phone to call back, but the line was pretty bad and someone answered with a strong broken English accent. They asked for my name and number to verify but when I kept pushing about the audit and whether they were really from the IRS, they just ended the call abruptly. Was really worried as I actually had an audit going on, but clearly this wasn’t the real deal.
