This number just rang me up, and it was a woman with an Indian accent saying the IRS is taking me to court and wants to know why I ignored some papers.

About an hour back, I got a call from 240-200-6808 claiming to be from the IRS but it was clearly a scam. They were pushing some fake story about needing to sort something quickly. Definitely not legit, and I'm going to report them to the authorities.

He knew my full name and claimed he was calling from some kind of federal investigation office about a legal issue. Got a ring from someone claiming to be from a government agency, but they didn’t even bother saying my name or anything - it sounded like the line was glitching at the start. Then they went on about how if I didn’t call back on that number, they’d send my information to the courts or some nonsense like that.
