These people are beyond rude and totally clueless. I asked one of them to stop calling, saying it was harassment and that I’d take legal action if it kept up. Instead, he told me to “suck his ***” and just hung up. I got calls every single day, multiple times a day, for a whole month. If I picked up, he’d repeat that nasty remark and hang up straight away. It’s so frustrating because there’s nothing you can really do! You can’t just arrest them as they’re overseas. I’ve been on the do not call register since the 90s, and that’s clearly useless. My advice: don’t pick up your phone if you can avoid it. But if you do accidentally answer, and they start talking about your computer sending out viruses and needing fixing, just tell them “That’s funny, I don’t even own a computer.” Usually they’ll hang up and leave you alone for a while - but sadly, they always come back eventually.
