I got a call from that number earlier but nobody picked up when I tried to call back.

It’s really irritating, honestly. Most of the time I’m up upstairs working, so when the phone rings I have to pause what I’m doing, pick it up, then there’s this awkward silence with no one actually saying anything. I usually hang on for a bit, then either set the phone down or leave it off the hook. Surely there’s some sort of tech out there to block these nuisance calls on my home phone, especially at the weekend. [At least I can block numbers on my mobile if it gets too much.]

Got a call from an Indian bloke asking for the head of the household, then started probing for details about him. I told him I’m actually a woman named John and just hung up. Same number’s called me three times now.

The first call came through on 22 November. The one time I picked up, a bloke with an Indian accent asked if he was speaking to the man of the house. I just hung up straight away and haven’t talked to them since. Now, I just let the phone ring quietly until it stops. Since then, I’ve also been getting quite a few ‘international’ calls starting from the same day. This number has rung me again on 23rd and 24th of November, and once more on 1 December, mostly in the early evening.

Wasn’t in at the time and managed to find just this one reply. Clearly a scam call. I’m signed up to the TPS but it doesn’t appear to have any effect. The number looks dodgy too, like loads of others I keep getting. How can I put an end to these?

Had another ring from 'Today's living' surveys today, second time this week. Told them to knock it off and take my number off their list, and the woman just ended the call on me without a single word. Proper rude!
