I got a call from them too, asking if I’ve been getting any annoying calls recently. I told her no, and she replied that’s because they were blocking them for me. When I asked for their phone number, she gave me the one above. Then she gave a dodgy address - sounded like 70 Market Street, West London, W1W ASS or something, but her English was pretty rubbish. She wanted me to confirm my personal info but I refused and just hung up. That address makes no sense at all, West London isn’t really used in an address, and W1 is central London anyway! What a useless woman.

Today I got a call from someone asking me to verify an activation code for my bank card. He kept pushing for my sort code and account details, but I knew better than to share that info. After about 25 minutes of him going on with his story, I just ended the call - couldn’t deal with the excuses anymore. It’s easy to see how folks get caught out though, as he was really convincing saying it's just about an activation code and that no money would be taken. Just be careful and don’t let them fool you!
