I received a phone call from 017 292 5355, and the caller claimed that money had been withdrawn from my HSBC account. However, I don't even have an account with HSBC, so I refrained from sharing any personal information. The woman on the line then insisted that I reach out to 1300881388. I decided against calling that number, as it seemed rather suspicious.

I was under the impression that I was dialling the customer service line for HSBC, but to my surprise, the call connected to a Chinese-speaking service. Unfortunately, there seems to be no option to switch the language to English, no matter how often I pressed the zero key in hopes of reaching an operator. All it did was prompt me to input either my national ID or credit card number, which was rather frustrating!
