Got a call from some dodgy number claiming there’s been suspicious activity on my Foxtel account. Definitely a scam.

So I got a text telling me to ring a certain number, and I did. Afterwards, I looked it up here and it said to be risky. However, when I logged into my account to start the same process, the number matched up. Honestly, I don’t think there’s much point in calling it, because even if someone tries to hack your Foxtel account, you get a security code by text anyway. The number seems alright, but calling it isn’t really necessary.

Got a message from someone saying they were Foxtel, sent me a code in a text. Suspicious if you ask me.

Got this text from number 369835:

"There’s been a risky activity flagged on your phone/broadband account. Your verification code is 817027. Keep it private. If you didn’t make this request, ring 1300797716."

I’m 100% sure I didn’t ask for anything like this, so it’s definitely a scam.

This number has been texting me saying something like, "Alert: a high-risk action started on your phone/broadband account. Your verification code is 777310. Don’t give this code to anyone. If you didn’t ask for this, ring 1300797716." It all sounds really dodgy to me, especially since my broadband’s fine! After seeing others worry about it too, I’m definitely going to block the number. Really appreciate this site for sharing stuff like this, thanks!

I got a message marked as AUTHMSG that seemed really suspicious, saying it wanted to get into my broadband. It told me to ring a number to report it, which felt off to me.
