I've just had a peek at my latest Vodafone bill, and blimey, there's an unexpected £25 added to it! Naturally, I called their customer service to get to the bottom of this mystery, and they mentioned it was for some sort of insurance I apparently signed up for. They even provided me with a contact number for this insurance place. However, upon searching for that number, it seems I've stumbled into a right scam! What's more, I've never even heard of wind turbines being part of my phone plan. When I tried to give that number a bell, all I got was constant engaged tones. So, I’ll be giving my provider another ring to sort out this mess.

I've just noticed a charge of more than £15 on my latest bill. This nonsense has gone on long enough! There have been countless complaints about this issue, so for goodness' sake, take some action before your customers start jumping ship.

I've noticed a deduction of more than £30 from my account for something I'm utterly unfamiliar with.

I’m utterly baffled by this! Just spotted a charge of £14.90 on my Telstra invoice linked to this number, describing it as a digital turbine. What on earth is going on here?

I’ve just gone over my mum's recent phone statement and stumbled upon four separate charges, spaced a week apart, with three of them occurring at precisely the same time and another just two minutes later, all for £6.36 each call-totaling £25.44. This is absolutely outrageous and reeks of a scam! My mum, being 74, isn't savvy to this sort of thing at all. It’s infuriating that these bottom-feeders can take advantage of vulnerable people. She’d likely just pay off her bill without a second thought, assuming she’s merely gone over her allowance. Luckily, the emails come to me first, and I had a look because I found it odd that she'd exceeded her usage. I’m definitely going to dig deeper into this.

I've been attempting to put a stop to the deductions from my phone bill, but I've been disconnected from the call three times already after going through the options. Honestly, I'm at a complete loss regarding what these charges are or how they're coming about. It reeks of a dodgy scam, if you ask me!

Today, I received my Optus bill and noticed a £13.55 charge from Digital Turbine that I've no recollection of authorising. I haven't ever made contact with them, and I'm at a total loss as to how I can prevent this from happening again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've had quite the run-in with this lot as well. For over five months, they’ve been siphoning between £30 and £36 from my account each month, and it was only when I took a closer look at my Optus statement that I realised something was amiss. When I reached out to their customer service, they claimed that I must have inadvertently clicked on an ad and signed up for some sort of premium service-games or ringtones, they said. Honestly, it’s a load of nonsense! At my age, I certainly don’t indulge in such frivolities. I demanded a full refund, and after some back and forth, they agreed to return £120. They've given me the option for the refund to be sent to my bank or via cheque. It's infuriating, but I have to take some responsibility for not scrutinising my bill more closely-it's all quite convoluted and lengthy. I also made sure to request that they terminate any future service. Lesson learned: I must be far more vigilant in the future!

I've received two calls on my husband's Optus mobile, just a week apart and only two minutes in difference between them. I'm planning to get in touch with Optus about this today!

During the months of June and July, I noticed that this number has been deducting £9.99 from my account every week. I've never engaged with this company nor have I received any services from them, so it's quite baffling to me how they feel entitled to take money for no apparent reason. I've chosen not to seek a refund, as I wouldn’t want to risk giving them my banking information. Is it even lawful for them to impose charges on individuals randomly without providing any sort of service, just because their number has unexpectedly come to light?

I’ve been hit by some absolute shysters who've pinched my hard-earned cash without so much as a nod or a wink. They’ve slapped premium charges onto my mobile account, whether it's pay-as-you-go or a contract. I reached out to Optus, and they informed me the sneaky fees came from a company called Digital Turbine, prompting me to dig a little deeper. Turns out, the blokes at Digital Turbine operate from Level 2, 221 Miller Street, North Sydney 2060, and their phone number is 0299258888. After further sleuthing, I uncovered that they also go by the name Mirror Image Access (Australia) Pty Ltd-a bit of a shifty Telco if you ask me. They claim to provide "Premium Support," and while they have a contact number, their website seems to have vanished into thin air.
