So there's this place called Blue Letter, and if you send them a letter, they actually refund what you paid for the call. I've just started doing it myself :) They normally ask for a copy of your phone bill to prove you’re the account holder, showing your number or name and address. The bill also needs to list any calls made to their service, which always begin with 09, plus the amount you were charged. Because different phone networks charge different amounts, they want to make sure you don’t lose out if your provider has billed you more. My son received a message touting a loan approval, which seemed rather odd since he's only 19 and this was his first foray into borrowing. He dialled the number listed on our home phone, but after just one brief call, we were hit with a bill of £43.20 and there was no actual conversation! I doubt BT will step in, as they might argue it’s not their responsibility. I’d really like to uncover the identity of this shady company. STAY AWAY FROM THEM AT ALL COSTS!

Got my BT bill today and it’s got this one call costing me £43.20! My lad told me he got a text saying he’d been approved for a loan and used my phone to ring that number. Honestly, this charge is ridiculous. I’m not holding my breath for BT to sort it out tomorrow, so if anyone can tell me who this company is, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks... Frustrated Mum.
