I'm experiencing the very same situation. I've reached out to Virgin Media and am currently awaiting their response. If I'm not pleased with what they have to say, I won’t hesitate to get in touch with Ofcom.

Well, I find myself in Enfield and noticed a charge for a rather lengthy 21-minute call on the 17th of September at half two in the afternoon. I reckon it might be worth sending an email to Watchdog through the BBC website to see what they can do. Just a thought! Cheers, Chris.

We experienced something quite similar. On the 22nd of September at 13:16, we had a phone ring for twenty minutes, amounting to £26.90 plus VAT, and we didn't initiate that call! Thankfully, Virgin Media processed a refund for us, but I'm left wondering what the heck was happening during that time?

I’m experiencing the same issue with Virgin Media! Despite no one being home, I've been slapped with a bill of £25.62 for just a 20-minute call. To top it off, they're asking a whopping £100 just to take a look at my phone lines! Ridiculous, isn't it?

I’m still waiting for any updates regarding the complaint I lodged; I’d been told to expect some news within 72 hours. Quite odd, really. I’m also situated in Winchmore Hill - is this issue confined to our area, or is it a broader problem affecting others too?

I find myself echoing the sentiments of others who've shared their experiences. I’ve noticed a deduction of £26.90 from my account after what amounted to a 21-minute call to the premium number 09083149092. When I reached out to the Virgin Media support team, they were kind enough to offer a £10 credit as a goodwill gesture. However, we decided against accepting it because, on principle, we feel this charge is not justified. We’re quite certain that no one in our household dialled that number, which leads us to question why we should even consider footing the bill.

I noticed a peculiar charge on our Virgin Media statement dated Thursday, 18th September, at precisely 14:08. The odd thing is, there was no one home at that hour. The bill lists an amount of £26.90, but we’re scratching our heads trying to figure out which company this relates to or the reason behind it. It’s quite baffling, to say the least!

We're going to be offline for the next week. I do hope others will keep at it and help get things resolved. It brings to mind when someone will finally attend to the repairs inside that voicemail cabinet just around the corner.

I’ve had the exact same experience. The number’s the same, the call duration matches up, and the charge is precisely the same. To top it all off, there’s no one at home! Virgin Media has been utterly unhelpful, with their rather unpleasant rep, Steve, merely going through the motions of checking the line without uncovering anything amiss. It’s rather suspicious, isn’t it? Clearly, there’s something dodgy happening with this number, yet Virgin Media seems to prefer looking the other way instead of addressing the concerns of its own customers. Who’s going to take this up with OFCOM first?

We had a similar experience ourselves. On September 22nd at 1:16 PM, our phone rang for about twenty minutes, resulting in a hefty charge of £26.90 plus VAT. We've yet to see that amount reimbursed. It's with Virgin Media, but we're left wondering what the situation is.

On Sunday, the 18th of October, we found ourselves leaving a note regarding a call we received from Virgin Media. Initially, they were insisting that someone at our address had initiated the call, but we were adamant that this was not the case. We flatly denied paying the £26.90 they were demanding. They did suggest sending an engineer to inspect the line, but that would come at a hefty £100, which we also turned down. After a bit of back and forth, they finally agreed to refund our account. I urge anyone else in a similar predicament to stand their ground - we can't let this sort of thing slide again!

We've recently received our bill, and it includes a rather alarming charge of £26.90 for a 21-minute call made to this number on Wednesday, the 24th of September at 2:44 PM. The troubling part is that nobody was at home as we were all out at work. We've reached out to Virgin Media, and they’ve lodged a complaint on our behalf, suggesting we should expect a refund. They also directed us to a website where we can look into these dubious charges: www.phonepayplus.org.uk. It appears this number is associated with adult services, which is quite concerning.

I've just received my latest bill, and it clearly indicates a 21-minute call to this number on Monday, the 22nd of September, at 1:16 PM, racking up a cost of £26.90. It’s just like what Robert mentioned earlier. I’m about to reach out to Virgin Media to sort this out.

We've just received our latest bill, and it reveals a rather peculiar charge: a 21-minute call to this number on Wednesday, 24th September at 14:44, costing us £26.90! The house was empty at that time, as everyone was out at work. We've reached out to Virgin Media about this oddity, and they assured us a complaint has been lodged, mentioning that we should anticipate a refund. They also provided us with a website to investigate such numbers - that being w.phonepayplus.org.uk. It appears, rather shockingly, that this number is linked to adult services!

I’ve been receiving calls from an 0906 number, specifically 0906 664 6558, and it appears to be linked to premium rate services. I’m a Virgin Media customer, and quite frankly, it's baffling - nobody was home to pick up, as both my wife and I were at our respective workplaces for around twenty minutes. It's peculiar that a number like this would try to reach us when we're not available!

We experienced the same issue on Tuesday, the 23rd of September. My partner and I were out of the house when the call came in from 26.90. Virgin Media seems unwilling to lend a hand with this. What steps can I take to put an end to this situation?

We won't be connected for the next month. We're hopeful that others will take this into account and sort things out. We're also quite intrigued to find out when someone will attend to the repairs within the fenced-off area around the corner from us.

I received a call from the number 0906 664 6558 which appeared to be from Virgin Speed, likely regarding their Premium Media services. Unfortunately, neither my wife nor I were at home to answer, as we were both busy working at the time.
