I responded to a work-from-home advertisement labelled as Virtual Assistant (worksmart) and completed their application form. Subsequently, I was provided with this phone number to call. Right at the beginning of the conversation, it mentioned a fee of £2 per minute, which seemed quite legitimate. The chap on the other end kept me engaged for a full ten minutes, racking up a hefty £20, which I simply can't spare. He assured me that I would receive an information pack within the hour... yet here we are five hours later, and nothing has arrived. I've come to the realisation that I've been duped. He didn't disclose his name, but the website is as I mentioned earlier.
