I recently encountered a rather dubious situation. When I reached out to what I believed was eBay’s customer service line, I was given the impression that if I pressed '1', I’d get to chat with a representative regarding an issue I was having-supposedly for a nominal fee of £6, with no limit on the time to converse. However, what actually transpired was that I was merely redirected to a brief recorded message outlining various options. To add to my dismay, I woke up today to find a notification from PlusNet indicating that the call ended up costing me £12! Can anyone shed light on whether this is a potential scam?
