Got three missed calls but they just hung up straight away. The TPS scheme doesn’t cover calls from abroad, so this had to be from outside the UK. It was a premium 090 number, which means it’s a rip-off trying to trick you into calling back and getting hit with huge charges. Seriously, don’t even think about ringing them back!

Got a ring from this number just before midnight on Saturday, right before the clocks went forward and we lost an hour’s sleep. It ended up waking everyone up in the house. With two of my kids working in risky jobs, I immediately feared something bad had happened. Picked up the phone only to find complete silence on the other side, which was a bit of a relief. Just before midnight my phone rang and woke everyone up. The call dropped after just a few seconds. Feels like one of those annoying automated calls, probably from some scammer bot. I’m thinking about how long I can string them along before they catch on that I’m acting daft on purpose. Kinda enjoy messing with them a bit - it’s a win really, because every minute they spend faffing about with me is a minute they’re not bothering someone who’s more likely to fall for it, like my grandma.
