I never placed this call, yet Talk Talk claim it’s mine, and strangely it’s linked to Amazon somehow. I keep receiving calls from someone with an American accent warning that £39 will be taken from my account for an “Amazon Prime” subscription. I’m not signed up with Prime at all. I’ve passed the info to Amazon who said they’d investigate, and they confirmed it’s definitely not from their end. The calls are short - like two minutes costing me £6.25, and one minute calls around £2.13. I hang up as soon as they ring, but it looks like these show up as outgoing for me? You’d think the phone firms would be aware of this scam. The numbers I’ve seen used include 09135980130 and 08704441820.
