Got a call from an Indian woman saying she was from Microsoft. I first saw the number 07949565305 pop up on 1471, then on 1572 it showed different digits. Definitely a scam call centre trying its luck.

Not sure what was going on, the moment I answered they hung up straight away. Seems like they were just testing if the number is active to ring back later. I reckon this is pretty dodgy, especially considering others have faced the same thing.

Got a robotic call telling me there was a foreign transaction over £600 and that I should press 1 to either approve or deny it. Seriously, which bank uses these kinds of recorded messages? Total scam and just really irritating.

Some bloke called himself 'John' and claimed my internet was running slow, said he could fix it for me. I asked for his contact number so I could ring him later, just to be safe. He started out agreeing but then kept insisting he worked for BT. In the end, I told him that if he wouldn't give me a number to call back on, then he was obviously a scammer and his mum would be well disappointed. Then I hung up.

Got a call from someone who said they were with Openreach about my internet speed. When I told them the only reason it's slow is ’cause they don’t put any money into fixing it, they just hung up on me. Bit of a cheek, if you ask me!

Got a call from some guy who said his name was Brian, saying there was hacking on my broadband account or summat. Honestly, he was trying to scam me. Best thing to do is just hang up straight away and make sure you end the call properly before you pick up again. Don’t waste your time chatting to him!

On 8th July 2020, at around 2:18 pm, we got a call from 08979120508 on our landline but they didn’t leave any message. Even though it seems like a regular mobile number, my caller ID labelled it as “INTERNATIONAL”. I’m pretty sure it’s just another lot of scammers from abroad trying their luck! Complete waste of time.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying she was from BT. She then handed over to a "technician" who talked my husband through installing TeamViewer on the computer, saying our "fibre connection was outdated" and this would help speed things up. After about five minutes, I stepped in and started asking questions. The guy said they couldn’t visit the house due to Covid-19 restrictions. I asked for a callback number and he gave me 02073565000, which turned out to be another scam line. Just be careful and watch out for these kinds of calls! Best of luck to everyone.

Got loads of calls from this number, but it always sounds like it’s coming from miles away with a crackly line. Then a woman’s voice comes on and just says "goodbye" in English. After reading the comments here, I realised it's just scammers messing about. I got a call from them yesterday as well, so I’m just blocking it now and won’t pick up anymore.

I've been receiving calls from someone purporting to be from Sky, and it seems they are rather relentless! Over the course of the last three days, they rang me no less than seven times, making their intentions rather suspicious. Got a call supposedly from Open Reach about my internet not working - total scam. I decided to humour them a bit, but when I started asking questions, they just hung up. What gave it away straight away was that despite my really deep, rough voice, the woman with an Asian accent kept saying "Hello Madam" - totally fishy!

So I got a call from this number 0181 9658077, a guy with an Indian accent pretending to be from Sky, saying something about my internet. Later on, the number 08979 120508 rang but there was no sound at all. When I looked up the first number on BT, it showed as not available. Bit fishy if you ask me.
