I got a call from a guy with an Indian accent.

It’s half past eleven at night and I’m fuming! This number rang but there was nothing but silence on the other end. I’ve got elderly relatives and I genuinely feared something awful had happened. Honestly, I’m so angry right now! Why is this even permitted? Ridiculous!

My husband received a call from this number at 20:45 on Friday, 30th October 2015, and they really had quite the convincing tone. Thankfully, he figured out it was a scam in the end. Please, be cautious and don’t let yourselves be duped by them!

Got a call from a bloke claiming to be Dave from Microsoft about some issue with my computer. His Indian accent was pretty thick. I just ended the call straight away.

I'm receiving incessant calls from this number claiming to be from Windows, urging me to access my computer. Despite my protestations of not wanting to comply, the caller persists in his demands. In the end, I simply silence my phone and set it aside. At least he’s footing the bill for the call!

Got a call early today from a guy with a thick Indian accent who said he was Dave Watson. He claimed there was an issue with the Windows on my PC. I told him I only use Apple products, then suddenly it switched to a router problem, and he said I had to turn my computer on. Total scam, don't trust them.

This number rang me up claiming my PC had a virus that was stopping updates or something like that and asked if I'd heard of it. I told them straight, yeah, I know all about you scammers and not to bother me again, then I just ended the call. I’ve seen a few elderly folks get duped by this kind of con, so please, make sure you warn others about these dodgy calls.

i got a call asking if I was the owner and the user of a computer. I said no, and then the person just ended the call straight away! didn’t even get to explain the mistake. guess they don’t like being corrected. i’ve blocked the number now.

These annoying callers were starting to get on my nerves, so I decided to play a random radio station in the background to bother them. Not long after, they hung up.

got three calls in less than an hour, and on the second call i challenged the bloke, said if they were proper they’d give me a number to check they were legit. on the third call, i told the guy it was already the third time i’d been called by them in that hour, and he said he was “scared” - reckon he actually meant “sorry.” honestly, they need to work on their English a bit!

Loads of calls from this number but never any voicemail. A mate warned me it’s probably some scam from Asia trying to hack into your PC files!

Got a call from someone claiming my computer had a virus, said it was some problem with my Windows. Clearly a dodgy scam, so I called them out on it. She just replied with something like, "go ahead, call the police then." I lost it a bit and shut down the call straight away. These scammers are the worst, absolute rubbish people.

Got a call today from someone named "Mike" who claimed my PC was sending spam emails and that their server flagged my IP. He had a strong foreign accent which made me suspicious, so I just hung up. He tried calling me a couple of times after but I ignored it. It's quite frustrating, but I’ve reported the whole thing to both my internet provider and Microsoft.

This number has been blowing my phone up like 20 times a day, and it’s driving me mad. Whenever I finally answer, no one’s there. I’ve just started ignoring the calls now. If only there was an easy way to block it on my landline!

I got a call from someone claiming my computer was being hacked by another person. They started rattling off some long security code which just left me more confused. I told them I already have security measures and I change my passwords all the time, then I just ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming my PC was sending out error alerts. They asked me to sit at my computer so they could explain what was happening, but I said I was tied up and asked them to tell me the error codes instead. When I said I'd call back, they just hung up. This has happened before, and after checking with Microsoft, I know they never ring like this. Don't let these scammers get access to your system through 'remote support' - they'll most likely mess things up and then try to charge you for fixing it!

I received a call from this number this evening, 7th October 2015, around 8:40pm. The gentleman claimed he was contacting me regarding my computer issues. I chose not to engage and simply left the phone down, allowing him to prattle on to himself. I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service, so this was quite unnecessary. He sounded like he might be from Asia and his English wasn’t the clearest, to say the least.

I got a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming my laptop was somehow beaming signals to their PC. I could hear really loud music blaring in the background, which made me suspect it was a total scam, so I just ended the call straight away.

I got a call from someone claiming my computer had a virus and that I needed to switch it on so they could sort it out. I'm pretty clued up about scams and knew Microsoft, who they said they were, wouldn’t ring me like that. So, I just played along for a bit, then told them I didn’t actually have a computer (I just use a tablet). They pretty much called me a fibber, so I ended up hanging up. I’ve had loads of calls like this, but I’m not sure about all the numbers, so I make sure to jot down any number I see on my phone’s screen when they call.

I received a phone call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, insisting that my computer had a virus and requesting that I switch it on. I was immediately sceptical, knowing full well that Microsoft doesn't conduct such calls, and besides, I don't even own a computer - just a tablet. When I mentioned this, they refused to accept it and insisted that I was registered as having a PC. In the end, I hung up. This isn't the first encounter I've had with these types of calls, although I can't recall if the number matched any previous ones. The last caller had the audacity to call me a liar!
