I received an automated call purporting to be from Amazon Prime, which then routed me to a so-called ‘manager’ who wanted to discuss either continuing or cancelling my membership. The catch is, I don’t even have an account with them! When I expressed my unease about the conversation and made it clear that I wasn't about to divulge any personal information, he grew quite irritable and abruptly cut the line. Quite the experience, really!
