They rang me about my TalkTalk line saying they needed to sort my router, but I knew it was a total scam straight away! Definitely not legit!

BEWARE, FRAUD ALERT!! --- 871-977-6425 -- An old lady I know got a ring from this number. Some bloke with a foreign accent kept saying she was eligible for a $500 Government Grant cause she was retired, had no criminal record or disabilities. He tried persuading her to pick a payment option - either cash through Western Union, a credit/debit card or direct into a bank account. It took ages for him to say it properly in English.

This number's a complete con! The area code isn’t real and the scumbag behind it tries to scam you by recording your voice. Don’t pick up or say anything like ‘yes’, it’s all a trick to cheat you. Stay away from this fraud!

Got a call from someone sayin' it was the government offering cash for payin' my taxes correctly and no previous issues. Sounded a bit fishy to me.
