I've experienced precisely that as well. Initially, I believed it was Virgin, and had a chat with someone who sounded like they were part of the Virgin team. Ended up being charged a whopping £13 for the call, yet when I followed up with Virgin, they claim there's no record of any such call! Quite baffling, isn’t it?

Yet I distinctly remember chatting with a Virgin representative that very day, and the number I dialled is this pesky 0871. How bewildering!

I received a rather unsettling call from a chap named David, who claimed to be affiliated with Virgin. He urged me to turn on my computer, bleating on about Windows, but frankly, I could hardly make sense of it. After hanging up twice and clearly expressing that I wasn't interested, he had the gall to ring me back another couple of times. I chose to ignore those calls, but I must say, I found the whole experience rather aggressive and off-putting. I'm baffled as to who this company even is.

To my surprise, I ended up being charged £4.50 for just a couple of minutes, only to inform the caller that I don’t have a PPI claim at all! What a waste of money!
