For the last couple of weeks this number keeps calling my landline. At first when I answered, there was someone there but they didn’t say anything. Now when I pick up, they just hang up straight away. I’m really unwell and don’t need this stress, so I’ve had to unplug my phone. Every half hour I check who called in case it’s family. I really shouldn’t have to do all this, I’m a pensioner and rely on my phone in emergencies. Can someone please help me with this?

This number seems to be linked to some firm named "Match your Loan." I got about 8 calls from them just this morning, but when I picked up, there was nothing but silence on the line. When I tried ringing back, I finally managed to talk to someone and asked to speak with the manager handling these calls so they could take my number off their list, but they just hung up on me. Really top-notch service, isn't it?

Honestly, I think the cops should step in because if these calls are coming from India or Pakistan, it’s worrying. These scammers might be involved with banks and could be risking personal bank info, which is quite frightening.

I called them back to get my number removed and not long after, they were back on the line asking if I still needed a loan. Pretty sure it was the same bloke each time. This number kept ringing me up, telling me I was guaranteed to get a loan if I just paid £30. Then another call came from 0203307070288 asking for my bank details. Naively, I gave them, but then they said I had to pay £105 to actually receive the loan. I was never told about this extra charge before. When I asked why, they said I was being charged £72 for wasting their time because I didn’t want the loan anymore. Both calls were from the same guy with a Pakistani accent who repeatedly just said "ok." That’s when I realised it was a complete scam and he was using two different numbers to trick people.
