I got a call from someone claiming I’d been successful in applying for an admin position. They asked for my address and then surprisingly requested my bank details to pay £39.50 for some kind of starter pack. I’ve never shared my info like that on the phone before, so naturally, I was quite suspicious and didn’t expect the call at all. I told them to ring me back on Monday so I could look into it properly. Later, I found out others had gotten similar calls but from a slightly different number. I still haven’t handed over any info as it felt fishy that they insisted on payment only that way. The call came from 08714 750 128. I had to ask them because the number was hidden. They claimed to be from Homebase.

Greetings! I received a call from them as well! It was from the flexible work group, if I recall correctly.

Got a call about some admin job you can do from home. They wouldn't give me any details about the company tho. They asked for my date of birth and where I live, then mentioned I had to pay a one-time fee for a starter kit. I wasn't having any of it and ended the call.
