Earlier today, I received a call from one of those automated machines trying to reach my partner. They had the audacity to say, ‘Press 1 if this is your partner, or 2 if it’s not.’ I must admit, I do enjoy these silly calls! :D Just yesterday, I encountered one of those ridiculous “your computer’s about to crash due to a virus” calls. I let them know that I’m actually a computer analyst, or perhaps an IT expert; either title does the trick! They tend to vanish in the blink of an eye! :)

Just received a call featuring a recorded message from HFC Bank, apparently trying to reel us in with some offer. The catch? We're not their customers! They even mentioned my middle initial, which is quite the rarity for me. It made me uneasy since I’ve heard stories about dodgy calls leading to unexpected charges on your account if you engage with them. We promptly hung up, but I’m still left in the dark about what exactly they were after. I’ll keep you posted if they ring us again or if I notice any unusual charges on my next bill!

This number just called our office landline. We generally don't answer such calls, so we let it ring through to voicemail. No message was left, as expected. I decided to give them a ring back, and it turns out they’re from HFC Collection Services, or something along those lines. Quite curious, really!
