Once you’ve settled your debts, you won’t receive any rings at all.

Absolutely spot on, Dave, you really are a bit of a muppet! You haven’t got a clue about the delicate situations some folks are in. When you pick up the phone, just keep it simple-don’t grant them an inch of personal info like your name, date of birth, or address. Politely tell them you won’t discuss anything of the sort over the phone and that they need to put it in writing instead. More often than not, you’ll find them hanging up swiftly, perhaps with a cheeky remark to boot! 😂

I’ve been inundated with calls from Halifax Collections lately-four times a day for the past couple of days, if you can believe it! The tone of these callers has turned downright aggressive, and they even had the audacity to hurl insults at us. The person they’re trying to get hold of is a complete mystery to us; we’ve no idea who they’re on about! We’ve been loyal customers of Halifax for ages, but I can’t see how we can continue with this kind of treatment. Utterly unacceptable!

This number relentlessly pings our phones. It's merely a machine on the line, droning away.

It appears this number is linked to whatever banking woes you might be facing. We're in a bit of a tussle with Lloyds TSB ourselves, and this number has taken to calling us incessantly. We’ve made it a point not to answer, as these individuals are reportedly supposed to be liaising with our Debt Management Officer. However, they seem to have missed that memo entirely.

We've had to cut off our phone line because this number was incessantly ringing us both day and night. Now, we're left scouring our family and friends for their mobiles, which has turned out to be quite costly for them!

I received a call from this number, and the caller started asking quite intrusive questions. When we inquired about their identity, the individual claimed to be calling on behalf of Halifax. However, we made it clear that we had no dealings with that company, and abruptly, the caller hung up on us.

I’ve come across this number linked to the Bank of Scotland, apparently belonging to a certain Jeffrey Parker Bourne, a debt collection agency. The standard number provided by BT for reference is 01422 357677, while it appears on caller ID as 0870 850 3492. If you're keen on putting a stop to their calls, you can always get in touch with BT and request their "choose to refuse" service. They offer a three-call-a-week capability and allow you to block as many as ten numbers. Quite handy, really!

What I discovered was far more than just a Halifax debt collector; it turned out to be a firm representing a multitude of banks and credit institutions.

It appears we've been receiving calls from this number as many as four times each day, and this has been going on for seven weeks every month since November 2007. We've never engaged with them and have no intention of doing so. I'm quite curious to see how persistent they’ll be!

We've been inundated with around six calls daily from this number. Generally, they take their sweet time before asking for a chap named Jason Wood, and honestly, it's becoming rather infuriating.

These folks just don't seem to let up, ringing me at all hours of the day and night. The staff are rather rude, and it seems like even the branch manager at my local Halifax can't shake them off. It's a thin line between just being bothersome and outright harassment, if you ask me.

I've received a multitude of calls on both my landline and mobile, with blokes claiming they're from Halifax trying to obtain private details from me. The thing is, I have no dealings whatsoever with these firms! I reached out to Halifax directly, and they’ve clarified that such calls aren’t their doing. So, I've decided to inform the local authorities about this dubious matter.

We receive an incessant number of calls from this number-sometimes hitting as high as twenty or thirty in a single day! We're currently banking with the Bank of Scotland, but I’m really starting to contemplate switching to a different bank due to this hassle. On occasions when the caller actually stays on the line, they often hang up within mere seconds after we pick up. When they do engage, their tone is shockingly rude and aggressive. These days, the moment we see this number-or any other with the 0870 prefix-we've made it a rule not to answer at all.

It's either Halifax Bank of Scotland or one of their associated companies, and it seems to be the collections team reaching out. There's nothing to worry about; they're simply following up on a delayed credit card payment. They're just chasing after their funds or checking when we plan to settle the bill-nothing more to it!

When a call comes through, we pick up and say, “Just a moment, please,” then proceed to place the handset on the table while we carry on with whatever we were up to. It’s quite amusing to let those chaps in the call centres stew for a bit, giving them a taste of their own medicine! More often than not, they hang up once they figure out they’re not getting a response. By the way, we used to bank with Halifax, but it’s apparent they struggle with addressing customer complaints, so we’ve since transferred all seven of our accounts to a bank that has a bit more credibility.

I received a couple of voicemails from these individuals who are pretending to represent Bank of America, and oddly enough, they called at precisely 12:12 in the afternoon. Quite suspicious if you ask me!

Halifax and the Bank of Scotland fall under the HBOS umbrella, don't they? But honestly, what's the purpose of hanging around in a queue and shelling out money for the inconvenience? We chose to simply overlook them, and believe me, the calls eventually tapered off.

It appears that this is a case reminiscent of Halifax Collections. It’s quite evident that their processes leave much to be desired. We've had the misfortune of interacting with them thrice now, reiterating the same information over and over again. Consequently, we’ve taken the step of blocking their number; any calls from them are swiftly dismissed since we simply cannot entertain phone calls during our work hours. We've even gone so far as to drop them a note outlining the inefficiencies in their operations. I’ve suggested they take a peek at this website to grasp the level of frustration experienced by their clientele!

I reckon this number belongs to Halifax for certain. We contacted them to sort out a missed direct debit payment and even shared our mobile number with them. The following day, we started getting calls from this number. However, we chose not to answer any of them after doing a bit of digging and stumbling upon a slew of negative feedback about it.

We keep getting calls from this number, and it's quite peculiar since we hardly ever use our landline (only for broadband, mind you). I'm quite baffled as to how these calls are coming through, considering I've signed up with several organisations aimed at stopping nuisance calls to our number. It's really frustrating to find ourselves on the receiving end of such unwanted attention!

This number seems to belong to Halifax. From what we gather, it appears that they utilise this line for their collection calls. There was a time when we were late with a credit card payment to Halifax by a month, and we were inundated with around five calls daily from them. It was quite peculiar; some of the time they would respond straight away as soon as we said hello, while at other times, they would hang up without a word! It feels as though they’re operating some kind of automated dialling system that relentlessly tries to reach you until they manage to speak with you. Quite an exasperating experience, to say the least! Hope this information proves useful!
