So, this lady rang up my mobile and my missus answered it. She claimed to be from O2, offering a contract upgrade. Before my wife could say anything, she just jumped straight into explaining the deal. My wife had to speak a bit louder and said, “If you’re really O2, you’d know we just did an upgrade this week.” Then the caller said she was trying to process the offer anyway. My wife just replied, “Alright then, bye” and ended the call. If it was genuinely O2, they’d have asked for a password or some sort of verification, which she never did. Pretty obvious it was a scammer.
