Received a call recently that just went straight to voicemail, and the woman’s message was so rapid-fire that we had to listen to it five times to try and catch the number. Each time, we jotted down what we thought we heard, but it seemed to change every time. In the end, we couldn't figure out the number at all! So, we decided to return the call and left them a message-clearly and deliberately-hoping that when they get back to us, they might provide a bit more clarity. It would be nice to know who we're actually dealing with, rather than just a mysterious number! It’s very frustrating not having a clue who these people are!

I’ve only just relocated to a new place, and straight away, this number got in touch with us. The moment we answered, it started ringing repeatedly, almost as if we’d dialled them first! We promptly hung up, thinking it was some sort of scam. Later found out it’s some debt collector, but honestly, I’ve no idea who they are or why they were trying to reach us!

This number belonged to CCS. We tried calling them again and it turned out to be a blunder. They were rude, pushy, and quite clever in a crafty way. Most of the time, they prefer to send messages instead of talking on the phone.

A call came through on our landline from this number, rather abruptly, might I add, inquiring about an individual who doesn’t reside here. It’s worth noting that this was a place where our family used to call home. Clearly, these folks are in dire need of a system overhaul, as it seems many others are encountering the very same issues!

I reached out regarding a purported debt connected to a minuscule device that supposedly enrolled in the competition while a group was attempting to sort out our dysfunctional computer. Now, we’re left with a non-functional machine and absolutely no one to voice our grievances to!

Had a rather unpleasant call on our home phone from this number. An exceedingly rude bloke was on the other end, asking for someone we know but who doesn't reside at our address. We politely informed him that the person wasn’t here, to which he haughtily announced he’d call back later. We attempted to clarify that the individual he sought doesn't live with us, and his rather snarky response was, 'Well, if she doesn’t live there, then you clearly don’t need to know,' before he abruptly hung up. Quite bizarre behaviour, if you ask me.

The young lady asked for us specifically, and the moment we identified ourselves as Joanne, the caller abruptly ended the conversation and the phone went silent. Just like others have mentioned before, it seems that whenever you attempt to dial this number, you can't get through at all.

We’ve set up call barring on our phone, so these callers won’t be pestering us anymore. It's quite simple really; just dial 14258 followed by the hash hash, and voilà! You've effectively blocked them from reaching out again. Apparently, the TPS doesn’t help with debt collectors, so I’ve taken matters into my own hands and handled it myself!

We've been receiving calls from this number for quite some time now. It turns out it's a debt collection agency. They went as far as to intimidate us by saying they could send bailiffs to my parents' residence. Consequently, we felt compelled to settle the amount they claimed we owed because we were bombarded with letters threatening court proceedings. As soon as we cleared the payment over the phone, they assured us we wouldn't hear from them again. They even issued a receipt number, but in the haste of the conversation, we failed to note it down before hanging up. Despite settling, they've kept on persistently calling. Just a word of caution to anyone else-stay alert!

I had a curious experience with these callers who reached out to speak to my partner. I’m quite baffled as to how they obtained our mobile number. When I probed a bit and asked for their identity, the person on the line bluntly informed me that my wife is “fully aware” of their company and that it was a “private business issue.” The lady on the other end was rather curt and impolite, to say the least!

They were quite secretive about their identities, stating that according to the Data Protection Act, these individuals aren't required to disclose who they are unless we authenticate our own identity first. We find that rather hard to swallow.

Received a rather puzzling message that we ended up recording on our answering machine. The caller claimed it was a 'very important message from CCS' and asked for a callback on something beginning with 0845, followed by a bit of a muddle with the numbers - 08444120344, if I recall correctly. The audio was so jumbled that we had to play it at half speed just to decipher it properly! We've never had any dealings with them and don’t have any banking issues, so after checking what others have reported here, we’ve decided against calling them back. Better safe than sorry!

Every week, without fail, we receive phone calls from these blighters! I’ve only just settled into this new place and Virgin have handed us this number. A persistent bunch, they keep trying to reach someone named Gayle, which is a bit rich, seeing as we’ve informed them time and again that we’re not her. One would think they’d take the hint and stop ringing! The icing on the cake is that this Gayle chap has never even been an occupant here, holding an address from Birmingham no less! As luck would have it, we don’t dwell anywhere near Birmingham!

We received a voicemail from these individuals. They mentioned having our Calling-ID, which is how they knew our 0870 number. However, they insisted we return their call to a different number: 0845 632 9671. What’s quite amusing is they got our name wrong in the message and referred to themselves simply as 'Abbey'. Unless this lot happens to be part of Abbey, it surely can’t be Abbey National, as we’ve no dealings with them whatsoever.

We received a call on our home phone from this number, and it turns out they were searching for an ex-boyfriend who hasn’t been part of our lives for the last seven years! It’s quite evident that they’re trying to rectify their records. This appears to be from a debt collection agency, by the sounds of it.

They claimed to be associated with CCS and were puzzled as to why we hadn't called regarding some correspondence they supposedly sent. It’s all a bit strange, as we’ve never come across this firm before, and certainly, no letters have landed in our post. Furthermore, they didn't even bother to address us by name! A company called me today, but they flat out refused to reveal who they were until I divulged all my personal information. The woman on the line was quite rude, as if I should just hand over our private details without her providing any identification for her company. Honestly, it’s quite unbelievable-who do they think they are? We're definitely not falling for that!

I recently received a call from a company called CCS, which I’d never heard of before. They asked me to confirm my address, and when I questioned the reason for this, they simply said it was because we were 'dealing with them'. Naturally, I wanted to know who we were supposedly dealing with, to which the caller responded that he would terminate the call right away. We then told him in no uncertain terms to refrain from contacting us in the future. What on earth do these people think they’re playing at?

Earlier today, I received a call from this number, and they kept insisting it was about a personal business issue. They even gave me an alternative number to call back on and left a name, but refused to divulge any further details unless I shared my private information. Absolutely not! These individuals encouraged me to return their call, but there's no way that's happening.
