I've received four messages, each expressing gratitude for our download of a singular item. The customer service contact for this is 01842 861713, and they’ve mentioned to reference 'gallery' when getting in touch. I'm just on the verge of calling O2 to lodge a serious complaint, as we're starting to suspect that our PAYG credit is vanishing at an alarming rate!

I've been inundated with a barrage of inappropriate messages linked to chaosbabes. They've provided the number 0870 45410 claiming it will put an end to these unwanted communications. Apparently, they say my number was mistakenly registered on their platform and that they've finally taken it off. Sounds a bit dubious, if you ask me.

We received three unsolicited messages out of nowhere! What on earth gives these clowns the right to bombard us with spam texts without our permission, and then have the audacity to charge us for it? Absolute nonsense!

I gave Transact Group a ring and lodged a complaint regarding a refund for the £5 I spent due to that pesky “database error.” It all seems rather dodgy, if you ask me!

I’m experiencing the same issue. It seems we're being charged £1.50 repeatedly after receiving some peculiar messages that included an internet link. Honestly, I just don't have the time to sort this out, especially since T-Mobile’s customer service is absolutely dreadful. The thought of spending half an hour explaining the situation to five different agents is just not appealing at all!

I gave Transact Group a bell to voice my concerns. They've agreed to send me a £5 refund, claiming it’s for fees caused by a 'Database Error.’ Honestly, it all sounds a bit dodgy to me!

I received a text that said, "Thank you for downloading your Hot Gallery - for help, call customer service at 08704 541000 and mention the reference Gallery. Text quit to 80898 if you wish to stop receiving marketing messages." The issue is, we’ve never downloaded anything, and I can’t recall authorising any payment. We shot a quit message off to 80898, which they confirmed, but I’m still baffled as to how much this might have cost us.

Right then, I’ve just given the customer service number a bell, and it turns out they claim that we’re going to receive a refund for the SMS sent by postal order. Fingers crossed they actually follow through with it! Let’s just hope they haven’t merely collected our name and address to swindle us in some other fashion.

We received a message that was word-for-word the same: "Thank you for your Hot Gallery download - customer support available at 08704 5410. Please reference Gallery. Text 'quit' to 80898 to unsubscribe from marketing." However, we haven't heard back from anyone yet. I have this inkling that opting out might incur a fee. If memory serves correctly, we received a text that redirected our phone straight to a website just as we opened it, and as that was loading, we hastily hit the 'quit' option on our device. This incident occurred several weeks ago, possibly four or five days back, during a pub outing. I plan to follow Kevin's method next.

I’ve just received the very same message as David mentioned earlier. It reads: "Thank you for your Hot Gallery download - please contact customer support at 08704 541000 with reference to Gallery. To opt out of further marketing, text quit to 80898." The thing is, we’ve never downloaded a single thing, and I certainly don’t recall being billed for anything at all! We went ahead and sent a quit text to 80898, which they confirmed, but I’m still baffled about what charges, if any, we might be facing.

We keep receiving messages that say 'thank you' for gallery downloads that we haven’t even made, and on top of that, we’re being billed £1.50 for it! Why on earth can’t O2 just terminate this nonsense?

We've received the very same text messages from the number 80898 that you've mentioned, and just to clarify, we haven't downloaded anything at all. Earlier today, we contacted O2 for some clarity, but all they could tell us was that they had no information on which company was behind these messages. They did give us a number to call to opt-out, but despite receiving a cancellation message shortly after the first text, another one came in a few weeks later. Fingers crossed that this call to the number they provided will finally sort this out!

What a bit of a surprise! This morning, we received a postal order to reimburse the expense for those four charges listed above. Clearly, the operation of accidentally blasting out pricey texts to unsuspecting folks must still be quite lucrative, as they’re able to cough up a few quid for those who take the time to voice their grievances.
