My other half got a call from some dodgy robot claiming she owed taxes and would be nicked if she didn’t pay £700 straight away. The voice pretended to be from HMRC and said police were coming in the next hour to arrest her. Totally a scam, so we just blocked the number without a second thought!

I'm beginning to think TalkTalk might be pulling a fast one on me. My phone hasn’t worked properly for more than a fortnight now. I’ve been on at their customer service trying to get it fixed, but so far no luck. A few mates in my neighbourhood who also use TalkTalk are experiencing the same issue, so it seems like the problem isn't just in my house but somewhere outside. Still, TalkTalk keep pushing for an engineer to come round. Every time they ring, it’s from a different number - I’ve seen 08009555544, 01872261036, 08700873536, and 0345 1720088 pop up. I'm starting to feel a bit uneasy about the whole thing. I’ve booked an engineer anyway, but it’s all making me feel pretty exposed. Should I be concerned?
