I’ve just had a natter with a chap from Vernon Pools after they reached out about reactivating an old subscription of mine. They were rather keen, proposing a new line and a cheeky 25% discount to sweeten the deal. To be honest, we ended up giving them our card details without batting an eyelid. However, once I hung up, I felt a twinge of suspicion ringing in my ears, making me wonder if I’d fallen for a bit of a scam. So, I pulled a 1471, then checked the number 0151 2347223 just to put my mind at ease. Thankfully, it turned out they’re on the up and up!

This number is linked to the Vernon pools. It appears that these individuals only reach out when our subscription has lapsed, offering an extra line and a cheeky 25% discount. We unwittingly shared our card information with them. Shortly after we hung up, we couldn’t shake the feeling something was off! Naturally, we decided to dial 1471 to investigate, and then confirmed with 0151 2347223. Thankfully, it turns out they are indeed legitimate!
