Does anyone have a clue as to who this could be?

Had a rather peculiar call at 7pm on a Saturday from a chap with a distinctly Indian accent, claiming to represent Mazda car insurance. He mentioned something about helping us with a recent car accident, which is curious as we've had absolutely none! When we inquired about how they even obtained our number, he responded that it was on some so-called "national accident list." We pressed him for our names, but he insisted he only had our number and kept asking for our name, which obviously we had no intention of providing. Despite our request to have our number removed from their list, we were met with utter disregard. He introduced himself as John Milton, which seemed rather far-fetched, to be honest. When we asked for his contact details-even though we already had his number from caller ID-he kept questioning why we needed that. Eventually, we decided to hang up. Definitely a dodgy operation!

Received a call from them today, seems like it’s one of those dodgy computer scam operations. I’ve had my fair share of run-ins with the Lakshimi Group, and whilst I can’t say for certain if there’s a link, their tactics are eerily similar. They typically try to get you to grant access to your computer, with the end goal of squeezing some cash out of you. Thankfully, I was well aware of these tricks since they’re quite rampant, so I turned the tables on the bloke on the other end. He didn’t take it well and got rather snippy, which was entertaining to witness! If anyone else has encountered this crowd or has further details, please do share.

I received a call from this number, and it said it was from 'New York'. However, just as quickly as it rang, they hung up. Moments later, the same 08459281836 number called back, but oddly enough, it didn’t have the +1 prefix. I've decided to block it now.

Be wary of this number; it’s a con! They’ve attempted to persuade me that they represent a legitimate company needing me to access my computer and hand over rights to my files. I fell for this ploy a couple of months back and ended up forking out a hefty sum. I certainly won’t be falling for that ruse again!
