I’ve no idea who these folks are, yet it set me back £2 just to return their call...

Just a heads-up to everyone, it’s quite possible for caller IDs to be spoofed, which might explain why you can’t return the call. If you’re receiving nuisance calls frequently and have a smartphone, I highly recommend downloading a call-blocking app, or if your device allows it, make use of the blacklist feature to cut down on the annoyance.

I just got a peculiar call from a lady purporting to be from Albany Insurance regarding a recent accident claim. She rattled off my name and address, which I found rather alarming. I have a sneaking suspicion that our number has been sold by someone at 02 since it’s only been used amongst family and we’ve had no issues up until now. When I probed further, she abruptly hung up. Clearly a scam! I’ve gone ahead and notified both our insurers and Albany, who appear to have this number mentioned on their website. The number displayed was +00 08456800056.

Honestly, these callers are a right pain! They bombard you with two or three calls in quick succession, yet when you answer, it’s just silence on the other end. And forget about trying to return their calls; you end up with the same frustrating emptiness. It’s infuriating, to say the least!

I keep getting an incessant stream of calls from this number, both on my home phone and my mobile. It's becoming quite the nuisance, with no less than five calls a day! Just the other day, they rang my house, then my mobile, and repeated the cycle back and forth. It’s baffling! They refuse to identify themselves and seem utterly relentless, despite the fact that I’ve stopped picking up their calls altogether. How do I make it stop?

Received a rather peculiar phone call today, someone requested to chat with my husband. I mentioned he wasn't around and inquired about the reason for their call. To my utter astonishment, the caller replied, "why are you so nosy?" I was left utterly baffled and pressed him for the company's details. He quickly dismissed my question with a "never mind" before hanging up. When I tried to return the call to express my displeasure, I was greeted by a recorded message stating the number was "not in service." What on earth is going on with these characters?
