I was picking up the phone for my mum, who’s 78 years old, and the bloke on the other end just felt dodgy straight away. I decided to let him keep talking just to find out when he’d actually try to get her bank details. Sure enough, as soon as he asked for that info, I told him well done for being such a convincing fraudster, and he just hung up.

Got a call from this number earlier today. The bloke was talking about "nuisance calls" and then asked me for my bank info. Watch out, they say they're from CPS, a call blocking service to stop annoying calls. But funny enough, they ended up being the ones ringing me! When I asked a few questions, they just went and disconnected the call on me.

They purport to be Call Protection Services based in Bournemouth. However, that company was dissolved last year! It’s likely linked to the incarceration of a certain Giles Ward-Best, who was caught swindling pensioners through a similar service. I wouldn’t go near them even if you were paid handsomely to do so!

Somebody rang my mum pretending to be from the bank, asking for her card info - watch out for this sort of scam!

Whenever my phone rings, I check the number first to figure out who's trying to get in touch. If it's a number I don't know, I usually don’t pick up. This number looks familiar like it’s called me previously. I get bombarded with scams throughout the day, so after spotting unknown numbers, I just let them ring out. Most of the time, they hang up right after the voicemail starts or give up altogether. It's getting seriously irritating now.
